    Officer In Charge - Emergency Response

    About the job

    • The OIC, Emergency Response coordinates the Emergency Response operations and service delivery, coordinating response and reaction to intrusion and combating security breach within Secured Mobility & Journey Management operations.
    • The Jobholder manages the emergency response teams, assigning teams to clients, tasks and beats, and liaising with Government Security Forces on response and service delivery. 

     Operations and Service Delivery

    • Coordinate Emergency response operations efficiently, safeguarding lives and property 
    • React promptly and correctly in emergency situations
    • Respond to alarms promptly and give combat directions to Commanders
    • Deter, detect, and respond to threats to designated personnel using training (skills) and tools such as: threat analysis, personnel security operations, responsive communications, and integrated team support
    • Ensure training of Commanders for specialist security, technical and professional trainings
    • Work on the front-line during emergency situations, take charge and make sure that the right resources and tactics are implemented to secure entourage/property
    • Ensure the availability of Commanders, Financial and material supports required for task execution
    • Ensure compliance with all Armada’s guiding principles and SOP
    • Organise logistics requirement for all operations; PPE, vehicle maintenance etc

    Client & Stakeholder Management

    • Respond promptly to client’s complaints and ensure timely resolution
    • Engage clients to provide security risk advice and operational support, strengthening customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Proactively engage and manage clients, internal and external stakeholders, contractors and partners including
    • Government Security
    • Agencies to foster good working relationship and best business outcomes

    Reporting

    • Prepare Incident Reports of any and all work-related problems or security concerns/incidents during operations and how they were managed/tackled
    • Review and communicate all incident reported and work-related problems to the Operations Lead
    • Report to the proper authority on any infringement of the pertinent statutes, regulations, rules, orders and instructions governing the conduct of any security personnel subject to the ER SOP.

    Team Supervision

    • Manage performance of reports and ensures relevant training and development interventions are implemented to sustain performance of subordinates
    • Enforce security specialist, technical and professional trainings for all Commanders within AOR
    • Administer disciplinary measures to erring Commanders in line with the company’s disciplinary procedures
    • Keep subordinates abreast on changes in methods of service delivery
    • Build morale, inspire achievement, and motivate high-performance in-service delivery within AOR
    • Drive and implement the performance management process within the Emergency Response team.

    Qualifications

    • First Degree in any discipline from a reputable tertiary institution and/or military academy
    • Professional qualification in security is essential.

    Experience

    • Preferably retired military personnel (Ex-Nigerian Armed Forces)
    • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in the Nigerian Armed forces (Army, Airforce or Navy).
