    Opinion Poll Consultants

    Position: 74 (Two per state)

    Location: Remote

    Duration: Twelve (12) months

    Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer/ Program Staff

    About the Role:

    The Opinion Poll Consultants will conduct quarterly opinion polls in their assigned state to monitor and document the implementation of the Court judgement on 35% affirmative action in Nigeria's National Gender Policy. The consultant will analyze data, engage with local stakeholders, and produce detailed reports to increase the availability of information on the judgement's implementation and advocate for consistent engagement and actions from relevant stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience in survey research, and a deep understanding of gender equality issues in Nigeria.

    Specific Tasks:

    • Conduct opinion polls every three months to assess public perception and awareness of the Court judgement.
    • Track and document the implementation progress of the Court judgement in each state.
    • Analyze and compile findings into comprehensive reports.
    • Engage with local stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and community leaders, to gather insights and promote awareness.
    • Ensure the availability of information and documentation related to the implementation and associated issues.
    • Consistently engage in advocacy activities to promote further action from relevant stakeholders.

    Deliverables:

    • Quarterly opinion poll reports, including data analysis and insights.
    • Detailed documentation of the implementation progress of the Court judgement.
    • Periodic briefs and presentations to stakeholders on findings and recommendations.
    • A final comprehensive report at the end of the project, summarizing the overall findings and progress.

    Educational Qualifications:

    A degree in Social Sciences, Law, Gender Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years experience in conducting opinion polls, surveys, or similar research activities.
    • Demonstrated understanding of gender equality issues and legal frameworks in Nigeria.
    • Experience in working with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community groups.

    Core Skills:

    • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in using survey tools and data analysis software.
    • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and present findings in a clear, concise manner.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.

    Remuneration:

    Negotiable and competitive within the sector.
