    Platform Support Officer

    The Platform Support Officer is a key member of the technology team responsible for ensuring the availability and stability of the company's technology platforms and systems. The Officer is responsible for providing technical support, monitoring systems, conducting maintenance and upgrades, providing user training, documenting all platform-related activities, resolving technical issues, collaborating with other IT teams, managing incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Technical Support: The Platform Support Officer is responsible for providing technical support to users of the company's technology platform. This includes responding to technical issues raised by users, providing solutions or escalating to the appropriate team as needed. The Officer must be able to understand the needs of the user and provide effective support to resolve any issues.
    • Monitoring Systems: The Officer is responsible for continuously monitoring the performance of the platform to ensure it is functioning optimally. This includes identifying potential issues before they occur and taking corrective action to resolve them. The Officer must have a good understanding of the platform and its components to effectively monitor its performance.
    • Maintenance and Upgrades: The Officer is responsible for conducting regular maintenance and upgrades to keep the platform up-to-date. This includes ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally and that any necessary patches or updates are installed. The Officer must have a good understanding of the platform and its components to effectively perform maintenance and upgrades.
    • User Training: The Officer is responsible for providing training and support to users on how to use the platform effectively and efficiently. This includes conducting training sessions, providing user manuals and guides, and providing ongoing support to users as needed. The Officer must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train users.
    • Documentation: The Officer is responsible for keeping detailed documentation of all platform-related activities, including user requests, issues and resolutions. This documentation will be used to track the performance of the platform and provide a historical record of all activities. The Officer must be detail-oriented and organized to effectively maintain documentation.
    • Problem Resolution: The Officer is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions in a timely manner to ensure that the platform is available and functioning properly. This includes identifying the root cause of issues, developing solutions, and implementing preventative measures to avoid similar incidents in the future. The Officer must have excellent problem-solving skills to effectively resolve technical issues.
    • Collaboration: The Officer is responsible for working closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure the platform meets the needs of the business. This includes participating in cross-functional teams, providing regular status updates, and communicating effectively with all stakeholders. The Officer must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with other teams.
    • Incident Management: The Officer is responsible for managing incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures to avoid similar incidents in the future. The Officer must be able to work under pressure and have excellent problem-solving skills to effectively manage incidents.
    • Compliance: The Officer is responsible for ensuring that the platform complies with industry regulations and standards. This includes staying up-to-date with industry regulations, conducting regular audits, and implementing necessary controls to ensure compliance. The Officer must have a good understanding of industry regulations and standards to effectively ensure compliance.
    • Be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of our highly available and scalable infrastructure
    • Optimize and automate our workflows and secure the stability of the mission-critical systems
    • Create innovative solutions for the deployment, operation and monitoring of the system
    • Supervise and monitor our infrastructure in integration, staging and live environments
    • Collaborate with an international, self-responsible and agile team who are working with the newest toolset

    Qualifications:

    • A degree in computer science, information technology or a related field is usually required.
    • Strong technical background and understanding of technology platforms and systems.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • Detail-oriented

    Who You Are

    • Very good degree in a technical subject, e.g. Computer Science
    • Good knowledge in developing with AWS, Docker, Python, Ansible, Cloud-formation and Terraform
    • Experience maintaining Unix server Infrastructures
    • Familiarity with Kubernetes or other orchestration solutions
    • You love agile software development, to take ownership and to be committed
    • Eager to automate as much as possible
    • Solution and team-oriented as well as working independent and proactive
    • Service oriented communication and collaboration across teams
    • Fluent in English both spoken and written
