    Procurement Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet the needs of the organization, including sourcing of materials, equipment, and services required for oil and gas operations and projects.
    • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers / vendors based on criteria such as quality, price, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms, minimize costs, and mitigate risks while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to understand procurement requirements and develop procurement plans that support project timelines and budgets.
    • Manage the procurement process from requisition to receipt of goods/services, including issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving discrepancies or issues with suppliers.
    • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and strategic partnerships.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations, including adherence to ethical standards, anti-corruption laws, and supplier diversity initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, fostering open communication, resolving conflicts, and addressing performance issues to enhance collaboration and achieve mutual goals.
    • Implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize carrying costs, and reduce the risk of stockouts or excess inventory.
    • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on procurement activities, including spending trends, supplier performance metrics, and cost-saving initiatives.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc Degree
    • 5 - 8 years experience.
