    Product Marketer

    Role Overview

    • As a Product Marketing Manager at Spowse, you'll play a key role in bringing our amazing app to the forefront of the African community. You'll be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, crafting compelling messaging, and driving user acquisition and engagement. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other marketing teams to ensure Spowse reaches the right audience and resonates deeply with them.

    Responsibilities

    Messaging and Positioning:

    • Develop clear and compelling messaging that highlights Spowse’s unique features, benefits, and value proposition.
    • Craft positioning statements that resonate with our diverse user base.
    • Collaborate with the product team to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints.

    User Insights:

    • Conduct market research and gather insights about user behavior, preferences, and pain points.
    • Use data-driven analysis to inform product decisions and optimize user experiences.
    • Understand the nuances of the black and African community’s dating landscape and tailor marketing strategies accordingly.

    Content Creation:

    • Create engaging content for various channels (website, social media, email campaigns, etc.).
    • Write blog posts, newsletters, and press releases that showcase Spowse’s mission and success stories.
    • Collaborate with designers to develop visually appealing assets.

    Go-to-Market Strategy:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the product launch and subsequent updates, including setting objectives, identifying target markets, developing marketing materials, and coordinating cross-functional teams. 

    Marketing Campaigns:

    • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to drive user acquisition, retention, and engagement.
    • Monitor campaign performance, analyze metrics, and iterate based on results.
    • Leverage both organic and paid channels effectively

    Community Building:

    • Engage with our user community through social media, forums, and events.
    • Foster a sense of belonging and encourage user-generated content.
    • Be an advocate for our users and actively listen to their feedback.

    Competitive Analysis:

    • Continuously monitor and analyze competitor apps, identifying opportunities for differentiation and improvement in product.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to align marketing efforts with product launches and updates.
    • Collaborate with the growth team to optimize conversion funnels.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
    • 2-3 years of experience in product marketing, preferably in tech or mobile apps
    • Proven track record of successful product launches or go-to-market strategies
    • Strong understanding of the dating app landscape and digital consumer behavior
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from market data
    • Superior writing skills with the ability to craft compelling product narratives
    • Experience in creating marketing collateral and sales enablement materials
    • Proficiency in market research methodologies and tools
    • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and best practices
    • Strong project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally
    • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools
    • Data-driven approach to decision making and strategy development

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience in the dating app or social networking industry
    • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and how they relate to product marketing
    • Familiarity with agile product development methodologies
    • Experience in startup or fast-paced tech environments
    • Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, social media analytics platforms, and market research tools
