Programme Associate (Research) at Corona Management Systems

The Associate is a senior role on our health division team and will spend 50% of his/her time leading the development of manuscripts for ongoing or completed projects (covering diverse areas such as vertical disease control programmes, AMR, Supply Chain, evaluations and assessments, etc) and 50% of his/her time on designing and implementing new research projects to help grow our portfolio in Nigeria and in the region.

The Associate will have an advanced degree in public health/similar education in area of healthcare, managing public health projects and 5-7 years’ relevant experience in public health project management, research design, and research writing. Candidate must have evidence of manuscripts previously developed.

Experience in engaging with government and relationships in academia are desirable.

A key part of our work focuses on formative insights gained through qualitative and quantitative research to enhance intervention design. This also includes application of implementation science to better comprehend how to deliver current interventions more effectively. We also conduct market analysis to comprehend the broader context of health issues and responses, and evaluations to gauge program effectiveness.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Facilitate the design of new research projects and interventions, and provide technical inputs to incorporate these into proposals or client engagements
• Develop research plans with timelines and deliverables and lead implementation to successful completion, on-time and on-budget, from start to finish with limited senior management guidance
• Provide technical leadership in ensuring that research and learning activities are well-planned, strategic, rigorous, and budgeted for.
• Lead the development of protocols for proposed research and ensure compliance with Nigerian regulations and research ethics and policies for research
• Lead the development of manuscripts for completed or ongoing projects
• Provide high level input to the development of client reports and presentations, with a focus on aspects involving communicating
• Conduct on-site technical assistance visits to partners as needed/requested
• Represent the team in stakeholder/client/consortium meetings
• Proactively mentor, coach and share subject matter expertise with team members
• Identify partners, consultants, and subject matter experts in the country and region for collaborations on research projects
• Engage with stakeholders in the public health ecosystem to identify and build out new research opportunities
• Support marketing and outreach efforts, including point of view and editorial pieces, and stakeholder engagement activities

The net monthly salary is competitive. Other benefits include 21 paid leave days per annum, pension and tax contributions, and health insurance coverage.
