    Skill Facilitator

    Background

    • Tdh is implementing a project in Bama funded by NHF, there is a pressing need to provide skill acquisition for vulnerable caregivers.
    • Recognizing the need to empower vulnerable caregivers, a skill acquisition program has been developed to build their resilience and provide them with economic opportunity.
    • This program aims to empower these vulnerable caregivers, who are often referred from the TDH Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) or Case Management or other partners, by equipping them with marketable skills that can transform their lives.
    • The skill acquisition training program spans a duration of 4 months, during which participants will engage in comprehensive learning experiences that go beyond traditional classroom settings.
    • By focusing on practical skill development, we aim to provide the necessary tools and knowledge that will enable these adolescents to thrive in their communities and enhance their socio-economic prospects.
    • The beneficiaries of this program are caregivers who have unfortunately been negatively impacted by the crisis situation in north east nigeria.
    • Through close collaboration with MHPSS or Case Management, and other partners, we ensure that those most in need are identified and provided with the opportunity to participate in this transformative training.

    Objective

    • The primary objective of this recruitment is to identify and hire skilled facilitators for the following areas: Tailoring and Local Cap knitting.
    • The selected facilitators will be responsible for imparting practical knowledge and hands-on training to participants who are interested in acquiring skills in these domains. Under the supervision of the Tdh CP supervisor and officersResponsibilities
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive training modules on Tailoring and Local Cap Making.
    • Provide practical demonstrations and guide participants through hands-on learning experiences.
    • Prepare training materials, including presentations, manuals, and practical exercises.
    • Monitor and evaluate participant progress, providing individualized guidance and feedback.
    • Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment during training sessions.
    • Collaborate with the program coordinator to assess the effectiveness of the training and make necessary improvements.
    • Maintain records of training activities and participant attendance.
    • Uphold professional ethics and conduct while interacting with participants.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of a skill acquisition certificate or diploma in any of the following areas: Tailoring and Local Cap Making.
    • Proven expertise and hands-on experience in the respective skill area. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt training methods to suit participants with varying levels of experience.
    • Patience and a genuine interest in helping others learn and develop skills.
    • Previous experience in facilitation or teaching is an advantage.

    Skills:

    • Tailoring and Local Cap Making.Tdh Global Code of Conduct and Risk Management Policies:
    • Fully complies with Tdh’s Global Code of Conduct and systematically reports any breach to the Code through the whistleblowing procedure: raises awareness within the Foundation on abuse and violence and the rights deriving therefrom, respecting the rights and dignity of children, members of the communities and our own Staff
    • Commits to respecting Risk Management Policies including: Safeguarding Policies (Child Safeguarding Policy, Policy on the Protection against Sexual Exploitation and the Directive on Staff Misconduct at the Workplace), Safety and Security Policy and Anti-Fraud/Corruption and Prevention of the Financing of Criminal Activities Policies
    • Commits to reducing the risk of abuse and harm by developing a culture of open and informed leadership within the organization and in our work with children and the communities in which we intervene in.
