Supply Chain Manager at BP Business Solutions

About the Role

• We are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and hands-on Supply Chain Manager to oversee the sourcing, procurement, inventory, picking, sorting and packing, quality and safety control, and delivery of fresh food (vegetables, tubers, etc.) and packaged FMCG branded food items.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing six departments, including sourcing, procurement, inventory, picking, sorting and packaging, quality and safety control, and delivery teams, and will be responsible for ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the sourcing of farm-fresh food items from farmers, producers, and wholesalers across Nigeria by the sourcing team.
• Organize the supply of sourced farm-fresh food from farmers and the supply of packaged branded food items from producers by the procurement team.
• Keep records of inward supply and outward sales of all farm-fresh food and branded packaged food items by the inventory team.
• Ensure that all food items delivered to customers are well picked, sorted, and packaged on the floor of the warehouse before it is set out for delivery by the picking, sorting and packaging team.
• Ensure all food items are of good quality and safe for consumption by the quality and safety team.
• Ensure that customers receive their food items delivered on time by the delivery team.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of products to customers.
• Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure that all supply chain activities are aligned with overall company goals.
• Manage the budget for the supply chain department.
• Identify and address any supply chain issues that may arise and provide solutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Knowledge of supply chain management practices, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and transportation.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other supply chain management software.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours.
