    Technical Assistant to GMD / CEO

    Job Summary

    • This role is for a driven and meticulous professional ready to make a significant impact at the highest levels. We're looking for a strategic powerhouse to support the GMD/CEO in shaping corporate strategy, forging key partnerships, and leading investment initiatives.
    • S/he will be a key link between our businesses, playing a pivotal role in streamlining operations, overcoming challenges, and driving the collective success of NGX Group.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide high-level technical and strategic advice to the GMD/CEO on various business initiatives, projects, and operational activities;
    • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of the Group’s strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals;
    • Oversee and coordinate critical projects initiated by the GMD/CEO, ensuring timely execution and alignment with the overall business strategy;
    • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to support informed decision-making by the GMD/CEO;
    • Prepare data-driven reports, literature review, analytical work on investment, capital market and presentations to assist the GMD/CEO;
    • Provide briefs and updates to the GMD/CEO (working with and receiving inputs from internal and external stakeholders) on issues of interest to the GMD/CEO and crucial to the business of NGX Group;
    • Act as a liaison between the GMD/CEO and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organisation, whilst maintaining thorough knowledge of the business and understanding of key relationships between the subsidiaries;
    • Develop and foster relationships with the stakeholders, governing councils and committees within each subsidiary;
    • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding strategic decisions, business plans, and internal communications;
    • Prepare high-level reports, executive summaries, and documentations for the GMD/GMD, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all communications;
    • Assist the GMD/CEO in managing crises by providing timely and accurate information, coordinating responses, and developing contingency plans;
    • Lead and mentor junior staff members within the GMD’s office, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

    Person Specification & Required Qualification(s)

    • Candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering or any related discipline;
    • M.Sc./MBA in any relevant field;
    • Professional Qualification CFA, ACA, ICAN, PMP, CIS is an added advantage;
    • Minimum of 10 years’ cognate experience in a top tier consulting firm, with proven track record in supporting c-level executives and expertise In business strategy;
    • Extensive experience in Project Management, strategy formulation and execution, and business analysis;
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills;
    • Deep understanding of Capital Market business, operations regulation, , and industry trends.
    • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and drive results across all levels of the organization.
