VP Deal Origination and Client Coverage at Norrenberger Financial Group

Job Summary

• The VP of Investment Banking will be responsible for driving profitability and meeting performance targets by developing the relationships, tactics, and business plans necessary to realize revenue, earnings growth, and increase shareholders’ value.

Responsibilities

• Actively source/originate Investment Banking (IB) transactions, clients, projects, and mandates.
• Develop and maintain a portfolio of revenue-generating Investment Banking deals from corporate, commercial, institutional, and HNI market segments.
• Good understanding of the asset management and investment banking industries; products, services, and capabilities.
• Client analytics - In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, strategies, businesses, financial performance, industry outlook/trends, and general macro/economic issues/trends.
• Maintenance and retention of a portfolio of IB clients.
• Build and retain strong, sustainable internal and external client relationships.
• Be up to speed with market/regulatory developments and communicate the changes in the market to clients in good time as well as ensure that the information communicated is accurate and comprehensive.
• Identify the target market and develop strategy papers on market entry and relevance for the deals- execution Team.
• Oversee the execution of all transactions by developing appropriate structures and deal execution strategies.
• Enforcement of governance and control standards for IB deals across the business and ensure compliance to risk management best practices by assisting the team with regulatory inquiries, audits, risk reviews, and compliance checks.
• Ensure quality control on all documents and correspondences going out of the department.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in relevant financial services experience (investment banking, financial market depository, securities clearing, experience required.
• Capital raising experience in the public capital market is required.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics (or any of its related courses)
• MBA or MSc. in Finance related discipline is an added advantage
• CFA Preferred but not required.
