    Warehouse Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Warehouse Officer is responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, and distribution of goods.
    • This role involves overseeing the receipt, dispatch, and storage of products, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring that all warehouse activities comply with company policies and safety regulations.

    Key Responsibilities
    Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, deliveries, and dispatches.
    • Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies.
    • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of potential shortages or excesses.

    Receiving and Dispatching:

    • Oversee the receiving of goods, ensuring they are inspected and stored correctly.
    • Manage the dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers or other departments.
    • Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and customers to ensure smooth operations.

    Warehouse Operations:

    • Organize and maintain the warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and efficiency.
    • Ensure that all products are stored in appropriate conditions and locations.
    • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.

    Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Education:

    • A degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field.

    Skills:

    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, as required.

    Working Conditions:

    • The Warehouse Officer may need to work extended hours, including weekends, to meet operational demands.
