    Project Manager INGO Forum

    What you will do:

    • High level representation of PLRCAP interests in external meetings and planning efforts nationally. 
    • Manages the PLRCAP team and PLRCAP operations and provides strategic oversight of operations.
    • Supports the Technical Lead and NIF Director in budgeting, budget management and accountability
    • Develop and supervise detailed project work plans and schedules.
    • Oversee administrative tasks, including procurement and contracts.
    • Ensure program objectives are met within the specified timeframe and budget.
    • Monitor and adjust project plans as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
    • Oversee programmatic and financial reporting, and identify and address potential issues proactively, taking corrective actions when needed.
    • Develop a comprehensive implementation strategy tailored to Nigeria’s context.
    • Plan and manage resource mobilization efforts to support program activities.
    • Support program implementation through thorough assessments, baselines, budget planning, monitoring, evaluations, field visits, and reporting.
    • Design, implement, and monitor training and mentoring programs for Nigerian NGOs.
    • Ensure the creation and maintenance of capacity-strengthening resources/platforms.
    • Facilitate learning and development opportunities for partner organizations.
    • Monitor and manage project spending according to the approved budgets.
    • Ensure financial compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
    • Prepare and present financial reports as required.
    • Oversee external communication and visibility efforts for the project.

    What you will bring:

    • An advanced university degree or equivalent experience in education, information management, development studies, or a related field.
    • At least five years of relevant work experience in national/international non-governmental organizations.
    • Proven experience in designing and delivering training content, preferably focused on adult learners.
    • Demonstrated experience in conducting needs assessments, managing data, mapping and visualization, and providing coaching and training.
    • Experience in project development, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting is desirable.
    • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and relevant data management software.
    • Fluency in spoken and written English.

    Context/Specific skills, knowledge and experience:

    • Experience in localization, humanitarian aid, crisis recovery, and/or community resilience is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
    • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Nigeria.

    INGO Forum Deputy Director

    What you will do:

    The purpose of the Nigeria INGO Deputy Forum Director is to support the forum and its members that offer humanitarian and development aid, and peacebuilding, in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states by facilitating information exchange, coordination, and advocacy. They will bridge the coordination between Abuja and northeast response to ensure accurate representation and effective decision making. Depending on the needs of the forum, the Deputy Director INGO may be requested to support the forum and its members in Abuja and other locations.  

    • Proactive agenda setting; facilitating a space for INGO-INGO collaboration; enabling sharing of information and analysis for effective decision-making.
    • High level representation of INGO interests in external meetings and planning efforts nationally; and strategically guide and encourage common advocacy and policy engagement. 
    • Supports the Director in budgeting, budget management and accountability
    • Facilitate INGO coordination in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe, identifying gaps, duplication, and opportunities for enhanced coordination.
    • Support advocacy efforts on critical topics, such as returns/relocations, protection, and durable solutions.
    • Facilitate coordination meetings, thematic discussions, and planning sessions to support INGO operations and engagement with external stakeholders.
    • Participate in/lead key task forces and working groups, such as those dedicated to access and protection.
    • Stay informed on political, humanitarian, and security contexts and provide updates to the INGO Forum members and secretariat.
    • Provide linkages between INGO and NNGO networks and identify collaboration opportunities.
    • Chair the Humanitarian Platform meetings and provide technical support on critical topics.
    • Maintain updated stakeholder mappings to inform strategic engagement.
    • Ensure compliance with donor and host agency regulations, including security procedures. 
    • Manages the Maiduguri team, which includes NIF national and international staff and the office operations in Maiduguri and provides strategic oversight of operations
    • Provide strategic and day-to-day management of the Maiduguri office (personnel, budget, security, etc.)
    • Provides leadership to the office by encouraging delegation, accountability and teamwork

    What you will bring:

    • Advanced degree in relevant field or undergraduate degree with significant field experience.
    • 5-7 years of experience in humanitarian /development aid, preferably within complex emergencies and/or access-constrained/insecure areas.
    • Demonstratable knowledge of key thematic areas including access, protection, and humanitarian aid architecture in conflict settings.
    • Proven ability to build relationships and facilitate dialogue among diverse stakeholders.
    • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
    • Excellent writing, editing, and analytical abilities.
    • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
    • Ability to present and represent collective views to various stakeholders.
    • Prior experience with INGO consortia/forums is desirable.
    • Experience influencing policy change and practice is desirable.

    Context/Specific skills, knowledge and experience:

    • Knowledge of the Nigeria context or previous experience working in Nigeria or West Africa
    • Experience in administration and coordination of coalition or secretariat functions a plus.
    • Strong communication, inter-personal, facilitation and diplomatic skills.
    • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with strong writing and editing skills. Knowledge of French is an added value.
