    Assistant General Manager, Mines Operations

    Description

    As the Assistant General Manager, Mines Operations at Dangote Cement Plc, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mining operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and profitability.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and oversee the mining operations to ensure they are operating in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and quantity of production.
    • Manage the day-to-day activities of the mining department, including equipment maintenance, production scheduling, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

    Description

    Dangote Cement Plc is seeking a Deputy General Manager (DGM), HEMM to join its team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in meeting the short-term and long-term objectives of the organization by ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient functioning of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM).

    Responsibilities

    • Developing and implementing systems to manage and control HEMM across the plants in the DCP.
    • Developing and implementing HEMM metrics to be used to identify gaps in productivity.
    • Ensuring that all HEMM operators are properly trained, have the requisite certification and are competent to operate the equipment safely and efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, design, and monitor electrical engineering projects, ensuring the compliance of quality standards, specifications, and objectives.

    Manager Mines Operations Cement

    Job Summary

    Coordinate and control the Mining operations in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee the activities of heavy equipment operators, drillers, blasters, and other workers in the Mines.
    • Ensure the implementation of short-term production plans and targets are achieved.
    • Coordinate the preparation and ensure adherence to Mine plans and schedules.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and confer with managerial and technical personnel, other departments, and contractors to resolve problems and co-ordinate activities.

    Reception Analyst

    Description

    • Carry out estimates for repair, contact and liaise with accident repair agents and internal departments relating to insurance claims/work.
    • Ensure documentation used is current and controlled under the Quality Management System and make contingencies for times when the Fleet Management System (FMS) is unavailable.
    • Be able to complete the inventory of trucks & trailers and diagnose the parts/systems functioning so that the inventory form gives the complete picture of repairs & buildup needs to be carried out.
    • Keep a record of in & out inspections carried out and maintain a record of both admissions and releases respectively.
    • Ensure that trucks and trailers are released only after certified by the QC Inspector.
    • Ensure that SAP printout of spares consumed is attached to the QC inspection form & job card, duly signed by the QC Inspector while releasing the truck after major overhauls, buildup and reactivations.
    • Symptom-Defect analysis of articulated trucks & trailers.
    • Carry out inspections of vehicles arriving on site, either for repair or reactivation (Vehicle condition survey) or brand-new vehicles for delivery.
    • Carry out weekly checks on available trucks in the Workshop, ensure up to date inventory of trucks inside the Workshop with their locations.
    • Positively contribute to a safe work environment ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Risk Management, Business Continuity and Safeguarding policy and procedure. Protect all personal information in adherence with the Data Protection Act 1998.
    • Daily updating of admissions and releases on the FMS, liaise with Supervisors and Stores to get up to date status of work to ensure data on the FMS is current and accurate.
