    Finance Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Finance Manager is responsible for managing cash flow, chart of accounts, financial reporting to the EngenderHealth Washington office; outreach and technical assistance to the project’s implementing consortium partners in Nigeria; financial reporting and due diligence oversight of project grants to local partners; and ensuring compliance with EngenderHealth and donor rules and regulations in all spending.
    • The Finance Manager will work closely with the global project’s Finance Director and will be responsible for financial operational oversight through use of QuickBooks for reporting, tracking, and managing project finances on a daily basis.
    • The Finance Manager will also be responsible for other functions such as: Examining all financial documents for payment are checked for completeness, accuracy and validity of financial data, including accounting classification and computations;
    • Preparing checks, payments and bank deposits; preparing payroll voucher to record the payroll disbursement and reporting and paying all payroll and taxes;
    • Assisting in the coordination of travel for program staff, international technical staff and/or consultants and in preparing and processing expense reports (flight arrangements, hotel reservations and logistics, such as per diem, visas and donor approval, if applicable);
    • Examining all financial documents for payment are checked for completeness, accuracy and validity of financial data, including accounting classification and computations; recording financial transactions into QuickBooks and preparing monthly field reports;
    • Monitoring the bank account transactions, reviewing and reconcile the bank account on a monthly basis and managing and performing other duties as assigned by the Country Project Manager/Representative and global MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics Finance Director.                     

    Requirements
    Must possess the following requirements with or without a reasonable accommodation:

    • Bachelor's Degree, or other equivalent Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related field
    • At least 3 years progressively experience as a Finance Manager.
    • Working experience with USAID-funded programs, including demonstrated knowledge of USG rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Computer literacy, including proven experience with computerized accounting packages, word processing and spreadsheets in QuickBooks, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel

    Country Project Manager / County Representative

    Background

    • To achieve transformational change leading to true social and economic progress, EngenderHealth collaborates with diverse organizations across sectors with the shared goals of highlighting women’s value to sustainable development.
    • MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics is a USAID funded program initiated in September 2020 and active through September 2025. Through a consortium of partners led by EngenderHealth, this project expands awareness of, equitable access to, and appropriate use of quality, voluntary surgical maternal health (MH) and family planning (FP) services that are essential to reducing maternal and newborn mortality and morbidity and promoting reproductive health (RH).
    • MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics focuses on surgical obstetric care, including safe and indicated cesarean delivery (CD) and peripartum hysterectomy; prevention and treatment of obstetric and iatrogenic fistula; and voluntary long-acting reversible contraceptives and permanent methods (LARCs/PMs).
    • In Nigeria, this project also addresses the prevention of female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/FGC) and ensuring that women who have experienced FGM/FGC have appropriate care and support.
    • In Nigeria, MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics builds on EngenderHealth’s long history of successful program implementation with government and civil society partners, including the USAID Fistula Care and Fistula Care Plus projects.

    Job Summary

    • The Country Project Manager/Country Representative will lead the USAID MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics project in Nigeria, devoting approximately 90% level of effort to lead and manage the program. Responsibilities will include ensuring that the project meets all key benchmarks and oversight of the technical, programmatic, and fiscal day-to-day management of the project. S/he will manage the critical relationships with the Government of Nigeria and other national partners, being the primary liaison with all key stakeholders, including other USAID implementing partners in Nigeria.
    • S/he will also ensure that implementation in Nigeria draws on the strengths of and coordinates activities among MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics consortium members.
    • In addition, s/he will devote approximately 10% of her time to develop and lead the vision and strategy of EngenderHealth’s overall country program and support new business development opportunities, including interacting with corporate and other philanthropic organizations in Nigeria.
    • S/he will have overall responsibility for the country’s program portfolio, including achieving program results, financial management, accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with all EH and donors’ contractual matters and other applicable laws and regulations.
    • S/he will report to the MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics Project Director, and will have direct responsibility for supervision of designated staff and oversee and work closely and in a complementary fashion with other global key personnel managing the project.
    • This role is likely to require up to 25% travel within Nigeria and to participate in global project activities, as feasible in the COVID-19 context.

    Requirements
    Must possess the following requirements with or without a reasonable accommodation:

    • Advanced Degree in Public Health, Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Social Sciences, International Development or related field.
    • 5-10 years of experience in implementing MH/SRHR programs in public and/or private health sector in West Africa, preferably Nigeria.

    • Will be the first to arrive at the office and ensure the cleaning services accomplish all cleaning and dusting prior to staff arrival to the office. Will also ensure that the cleaning services perform regular office especially before, during, and, immediately after meetings.

    Job Summary

    • The Administrative and Procurement Manager, as a member of the Country Senior Management Team, is responsible for providing a wide range of office management and support to the office including, ensuring the full functioning of the office, serving as the point person managing all procurement related activities, and covering HR services with support from the Home Office team.

    Essential Functions
    Administrative and HR:

    • Supports office operations by maintaining office administrative systems, such as and not limited to authorization/approval processes, IT use, cleaning and maintenance of office premises, and vehicles, documentation and issuance of office stationaries to staff, managing common printers, etc., and supervising administrative staff.
    • Provides office services such as: organizing office operations and procedures, managing correspondence, designing and maintaining filing systems, developing and reviewing supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
    • Manages and maintains the retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records as per EngenderHealth standards.

    • Maintain accurate supplier database for regularly purchased items, keep informed of local market conditions and establish/maintain good working relations with suppliers.
