    Stock Controller (Fibre)

    Job Objective:

    To be responsible for accurate maintenance, tracking and accounting of the company’s inventory in Nigeria.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:  

    • Maintaining proper and accurate records and documentation of all inventory and equipment items bought locally or imported into Nigeria
    • Coordinating with the logistics team on equipment orders right from issuance of the purchase orders and maintaining a tracker of items up until the equipment is receipted in the system
    • Performing monthly inventory reconciliations showing the movement of inventory in the accounting system (Receipts, issuance, installations done, returns etc)
    • Responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels and working closely with the technical field teams to ensure that critical equipment/ parts are in stock
    • Responsible for receiving and counter checking the goods received against invoices, packing lists and custom entry document
    • Responsible for carrying out physical stock counts on daily, weekly, and monthly basis or as and when required from time to time
    • Compiling reports and addressing inventory discrepancies that emanate from receipting or installation of equipment
    • Responsible for stock and shelves labelling and all other spaces where inventory items are stored
    • Responsible for tagging and entering new items into the inventory system
    • Performing any other duties as may be prescribed by the supervisor
    • Collaborate with local field team on maintaining records, inventory and spares
    • Support local field team receiving equipment for bench testing/deployment, storage and RMA return handling

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years’ experience in inventory management.

    • Knowledge of inventory planning, control procedures and practices
    • Knowledge of inventory control and analysis software

    Job Objective:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of in-depth experience in network administration. The ideal candidate should hold a CISCO Certification or equivalent the role is pivotal in maintaining and optimising our organisation’s network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, security and efficiency.

    NOC Shift Leader (Fibre)

    Job Objective:

    Lead the allocated NMC shift team to provide first-level support for WIOCC and partner networks, identify incidents through proactive monitoring and manage planned engineer works. To be acknowledged as the network assurance champion ensuring high levels of availability and performance.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:  

    • Lead allocated NMC shift team, act as duty manager when NMC Manager is not available
    • Prepare shift handover report and actively participate in shift leader meetings and improvement planning
    • Interface point for WIOCC NOC/TAC and partners achieving high levels of satisfaction
    • Lead the proactive monitoring alarm management systems for events, create, own and manage trouble tickets to successful resolution, lead supplier incident management
    • Lead incident management, trouble shooting and resolution of first level network issues
    • Ensure all network tickets have correct closure data
    • Use of and ensuring data integrity of systems

    • Knowledge of various platforms around Subsea, Fibre, DWDM, OTN, SDH, Data (Ethernet, IP/MPLS)
    • Effective written and verbal communications skills evidenced by work history and accomplishments
    • Expert knowledge of at least one trouble ticket system, NetSuite desirable

    Account Receivables Office

    Job Objective:

    This role will be responsible for efficiently managing the full Account Receivables function. This individual will be used to working in a fast-paced environment and have experience working with large volumes. This role will handle the production and submission of invoices, invoice payment collection, dispute resolution and management. The Account Receivables Officer is also responsible for the management of debt recovery, which may involve stopping the delivery of services or undertaking legal action in the case of non-payment by the debtor.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:  

    • Prepare invoices as per prescribed terms and sending to clients in a timely manner
    • Sending regular statements of accounts to clients as and when required
    • Reconciliation of discrepancies between clients’ records and the company’s statement
    • Interact with clients to resolve any disputes that may arise
    • Following up with the Finance Department on daily cash receipts
    • Keeping track of all clients’ accounts to identify outstanding debts
    • Escalating to Finance Director and/or Credit Controller on defaulting clients

    Junior Field Technician (Fibre)

    Job Objective:

    Install, commission and maintain access and core fibre routes for self-build and leased fibre. To be acknowledged as 3rd level technical competence relating to network fibre planning.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:  

    • Install fibre cables on access and core routes according to best practices and standards
    • Commission fibre spans and end to end fibre circuits through use of OTDR and OLTS
    • Verify and capture as built documentation
    • Attend to fibre breakdown and preventative maintenance
    • Liaise with internal Project Managers and 3rd part suppliers for the execution of designed plans
    • Assist with management & planning of overall fibre network, including auditing and record management
    • Assist other departments and lead and report on projects as requested by the Program Manager
    • Ensuring network design aligns with NetSuite as appropriate

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma (or equivalent work experience) in a technical field

    Experience & Skills:

    • Requires minimum of 3 year’s technical experience in telecom industry with at least 2 years in fibre installation and maintenance role
    • Knowledge of ducts, fibre, build methodologies, splice enclosures, patch panels, OSP and ISP
    • Quality assurance auditing & testing, manage and mitigate network risk register
    • Optical networking experience including OTDR, OLTS, fibre types, testing, splicing and installation
    • Experience in Google Earth, QGIS and OSS systems
    • Effective written and verbal communications skills evidenced by work history and accomplishments
    • Excellent communications and soft skills, including ability to listen to and summarise and concisely share key information with clients

    Job Objective

    Lead the regional Field Engineer team, to provide field support, resolve escalated incidents and assigned problems, maintain the WIOCC PoP Network. To be acknowledged as the regional field expert within the company.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Lead problem resolution relating to field issues
    • Manage spares inventory, local records and data reconciliation with NetSuite
    • Network installation, testing & commissioning, bringing into service, integration
    • Network quality and performance management
    • Assist with creation of ad hoc reports as needed

    • Requires minimum of 5 years’ technical experience in telecom industry, with desirably at least 3 year in second level technical support or equivalent and desirably 2 year in a team leader role
    • Knowledge and experience including Fibre, OTN, DWDM / ROADM, SDH, Data (Ethernet, IP/MPLS, OSPF, BGP)
    • Knowledge in supporting equipment e., Mikrotik, Juniper, Tejas, Ciena etc
    • Experience in network monitoring tools g., Cacti, MRTG, PRTG etc
    • Must use B/OSS tools effectively to record information accurately and concisely in a timely manner
    • Ability to share knowledge and mentor other team members
    • Effective written and verbal communications skills evidenced by previous work history and accomplishments
