    Quality Inspectors

    Position Summary   

    Reporting to the Quality Manager, the individual will be responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. This individual will be tasked with measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, and identifying defects. 

    Key Responsibilities. 

    •  Manage and control quality as well as production volumes. 
    • Check, Inspect, and analyze Products against specification sheets. 
    • Measure and record quality within the production floor 
    • Perform tests to ensure the quality of products. 
    • Collect and record data on the production floor. 
    • Work with the quality analysts in spec sheet development and improvement 
    • Write a daily quality report. 
    • Ensure quality standards processes are followed keenly. 
    • Escalate issues on the production floor to shift team leader. 
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Quality Lead from time to time 

    Key Qualifications. 

    • At least 2 years experience as a quality inspector 
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills 
    • Attention to detail. 
    • Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals. 
    • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies

    Quality Shift Supervisor

    Position Summary 

    Reporting to the Quality Lead, the individual will be responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. This individual will be tasked with measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, and identifying defects.

    Key Responsibilities.

    • Manage daily schedules and employee shifts.
    • Coordinate with Production Team leaders, Engineering Technicians, and quality inspectors to resolve any arising quality issues for smooth operations.
    • Ensure in-process tests and procedures are carried out in a timely fashion.
    • Ensure up-to-date documentation in the assembly line only.
    • Ensure SOPs are followed keenly.
    • Assist in process changes and oversee quality within the new processes.
    • Respond quickly to any crises that arise within the shift in a timely and practical manner.
    • Provide improvements to SOPs.
    • Generate shift and handover reports.

    Key Qualifications.

    • Diploma in Engineering or related field with at least 2 years of experience in the Quality Control
    • Great analytical, and leadership skills.
    • Excellent with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals.
    • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.

    Quality Technician

    Position Summary 

    Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, the individual will be responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. This individual will be tasked with measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, and identifying defects.

    Key Responsibilities.

    • Ensure the technical documents required for production meet document control and revision requirements.
    • Analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects to mitigate and prevent recurrence and future defects.
    • Identify root causes of problems in the production process; recommend and/or implement corrective measures.
    • Conduct an audit on jigs, tools, and equipment to ensure they are calibrated and up to date.
    • Ensure that products meet the organization, customers’ quality, and product integrity requirements.
    • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
    • Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.

     Key Qualifications.

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
    • Experience in conducting process audits under QMS will be an added advantage.
    • 1-2 years experience in the manufacturing industry.
    • Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals.

    Tooling Engineer

    Position Summary                 

    Reporting to the Head of Tooling, the Tooling Engineer will be a key resource in the creation of BURN’s tooling designs for existing products, as well as in developing new designs.

    Key Responsibilities  

    • Routine servicing, repair, and regrinding of engineering tools
    • Attending relevant system breakdowns, identifying faults, and problem-solving at the press with minimal downtime to aid production.
    • Evaluate each job and determine if it can be repaired in the press or must be removed to the Tool Room for essential maintenance and repair work.0
    • Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
    • Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management
    • Identify spare requirements and log usage & Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance.
    • Support new project tooling from the commissioning stages through to the start of production.
    • Manufacture new tooling and ancillary spares to support production activity and customer deadlines.

    Key Qualifications                  

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
    • 3-5 years of experience in tooling engineering or a related role
    • Working knowledge of CAD software programs (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
    • Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis
    • Sound knowledge of Sheet metal tools manufacturing process.
    • Strong understanding of production costs, including waste, downtime, scrap, and rework.
    • Mechanical aptitude, and ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
    • Well-organized with a good sense of teamwork and collaboration
