    Human Resources Officer

    Job Description

    • Under the direction and technical supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the HR Officer will provide operational support to implement effective functional Human Resources (HR) processes for AHNI in team functional areas, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, HRIS and training. With support from HR Manager, s/he will assist to develop HR systems in assigned functional areas such as orientation programs, recruitment programs, benefits program, etc.
    • Also, s/he will administer AHNi Nigeria’s rewards and benefit systems which includes salaries and bonuses plus employee benefits, such as pensions, life assurance, and medical insurance packages, make out Offer Letters for vetting, send out Offer Letters to candidates’ mailboxes/surface addresses and ensure proper electronic filing of documents appropriately into personnel files/online folders.
    • Also, s/he will coordinate new hire orientation and ensure all relevant documents are included in new hires’ orientation package, follow-up on timesheet and leave matters and maintain a thorough awareness of developments in labor laws and legislations.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • BS / BA Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or its recognized equivalent with 3 – 5 years of relevant experience Or MS/MA degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or its recognized equivalent and 1 – 3 years relevant experience
    • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required
    • Certification of membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management or any related body is required
    • Experience in HR in the not-for-profit sector is an advantage
    • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    Administrative Manager

    Job Description

    • Will ensure the smooth operation of the organization’s facilities, inventory, fleet and travel management by implementing and evaluating maintenance and improvement programs as they relate to the continuous operation of the organization’s transport fleet, facilities and buildings.
    • He/she will work with the Director of Operations to take up the responsibility for effective utilization of resources including staff with diverse range of capabilities.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • BS / BA in Business Administration, Engineering, Estate Management or related field with 7-9 years relevant experience with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in operations, maintenance, and/or administration of facilities/fleet management.
    • or MS / MA in Business Administration, Engineering, Estate Management, or related field with 5-7 years relevant experience with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in operations, maintenance, and/or administration of facilities/fleet management.
    • Other relevant professional/management certifications will be an added advantage.
    • Familiarity with donor-funded procurement rules and regulations (particularly experience with USAID procurement regulations) is required.

    General Technical Officer - Education

    Job Description

    • Will be responsible for supporting development and distribution of teaching and learning materials in the state; providing technical assistance for teacher trainings in the state; supporting government capacity building; and other activities as required.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Conducting school visits for quality assurance purposes,
      • Supporting the design and development of teacher guides, pupil books, posters, and other materials to support literacy and math instruction,Development may include field testing of materials, supporting the design and development of formative and summative assessments for literacy and mathematics, Supporting timely materials procurement and distribution, in conjunction staff and government partners, Providing technical assistance for teacher trainings,Liaising with SSOs and support SSO networks (e.g., WhatsApp groups) to strengthen school coaching activities; shadow and mentor SSOs as needed,Supporting government partners to strengthen education in the state, including through in-service and pre-service training; community mobilization activities; SBMC support; and other activities. Contribute to the development of teacher training manuals. Support qualitative interviews with Teachers and Head Teachers.Contribute to regular reporting on activities.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • Bachelor’s Degree or its international equivalent in Communications, Education, Environment, Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences, International Development, Human Development or Related Field with 5-7 years relevant experience,
    • Or Master’s Degree or its international equivalent in Communications, Education, Environment, Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences International Development, Human Development or Related Field, and 3-5 years relevant experience,
    • Or 2-4 years’ experience with education programs,
    • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff,
    • Prior team-lead experience preferred. Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization is an advantage,
    • International or domestic (US) program development or program management preferred,
    • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.
