    Business Development Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • analyzing recent and historical financial data and offering suggestions for cost- and revenue-saving measures
    • leading the push on strategies for conducting market research to find new opportunities
    • collaborating with executives to put marketing strategies and fresh prospects into action
    • designing and upgrading ideas to entice both new and current clients
    • monitoring spending and upholding the business budget
    • ensuring that the business achieves its revenue goals
    • providing guidance and instruction to other team members
    • Creating and presenting ideas to prospective investors

    Requirements

    • First degree in any relevant field.
    •  2-3 years experience in a microfinance or a lending firm selling lending products and services.
    • Track record of clients acquisition (existing portfolios) and revenue generation
    • Excellent communication skills and a good use of Microsoft office.
    • Analytical and detail-oriented
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Decision-making and leadership skills

    Accountant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze financial information and prepare balance sheets.
    • Coordinate with management and staff to prepare budgets.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and federal and state regulations.
    • Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries.
    • Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices.
    • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
    • Assist in financial and tax audits, and general ledger preparation.
    • Prepare income tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
    • Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
    • Complete end of month close procedures

    Requirements

    • First degree in accounting or related field.
    • 2 years of accounting work experience.
    • Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
    • Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
    • Critical thinker with a high proficiency in math.
    • Excellent report writing, communication and IT skills.
    • Advanced competency in Microsoft Office and Accounting software packages.
    • Ability to reconcile accounts payables and receivables
    • Maintain financial security by following internal controls and securing financial information by completing data base back up.

    Fund Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establish internal controls at the departmental level
    • Maximize cash flow through effective internal procedures, timely billing, collection and depositing of revenue
    • Ensure sufficient budget is available to support anticipated expenditures for the entire fiscal year
    • Reconcile ledger transactions to departmental transactions.
    • Maintain positive fund balances and cover deficits throughout the fiscal year.
    • Ensure compliance with fund purposes and/or restrictions.
    • Provide correct program coding.
    • Be aware of institutional policies concerning fund management
    • Assume responsibility for activities and transactions of delegated persons.

    Requirements

    • A first degree in any relevant discipline is required.
    • Understanding of market cycles and a strong fund mobilization portfolio
    • Experience in fund management, investment banking, corporate finance, or commercial lending, as well as working directly with portfolio firms and management teams.
    • Significant knowledge of business governance and transactional procedures is required.
    • Significant operational understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Experience developing and sustaining positive working relationships with stakeholders and customers, as well as developing external networks for mutual benefit.
    • Report authoring and Management Information (MI) reporting experience is required.
