    Investment Associate

    What will you Do?

    • This position is responsible for supporting the All On impact investment deal delivery and investee management, with a focus on structured credit solutions for new investees under the Demand Aggregation for Renewable Technologies (DART) program.
    • The Associate will be involved in every stage of a transaction, including, but not limited to financial modelling, credit analysis, due diligence, term sheet drafting and negotiations, investment committee memorandums, closings, and implementation of monitoring and evaluation framework.
    • S/he will work in a high-energy environment under the supervision of the All On Investment Manager.

    Candidate will be required to do the following:

    • Coordinate the operations of DART and support the delivery of program objectives.
    • Process deals through approval and closing by:
      • Performing in depth market research and counterparty due diligence, including credit review.
      • Conducting assessment of credit risk for potential investees and projects, providing recommendations on credit worthiness.
      • Assessing historical financial statements of potential investees to enhance understanding of historical corporate performance and probability of the success of the proposed business model.
      • Drafting of the various documents required for the deal approval process – including the deal narrative, risks, justification, and deal economics.
      • Financial modeling of investment opportunities with risked outcomes based on multiple scenarios.
      • Proposing investment instruments and related terms of financing to be deployed for each opportunity.
      • Drafting and negotiating term sheet with counterparties based on the direction and approvals of the governance process.
      • Undertaking financial, technical, and commercial due diligence and prepare related due diligence reports for each opportunity being developed.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including, legal, and compliance, to gather information and ensure smooth investment processes.
    • Develop relationships with external stakeholders, such as program partners, investees, and industry experts, to gather insights and enhance the objectives of the program.
    • Support DART portfolio management through monitoring and review of borrower reporting requirements and loan covenant compliance.
    • Provide ongoing strategic, operational, and governance support to investees in the portfolio.

    What we Need from You

    • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, or other related discipline.
    • A strong investment management and credit analysis background with 6+ years’ experience in investment banks, PE & VC funds (impact or fully commercial)
    • Demonstrated experience in deal delivery in top-tier commercial banks or Development Finance Institutions (DFIs).
    • Solid experience in credit and structured finance with an energy and/or social infrastructure focus or similar business deals with a proven record of success and achievements.
    • Chartered Finance Analyst (Preferred), ACA, ACCA or other equivalent professional qualification.
    • Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools. Good financial modelling and research skills. Experience with financial tools such as Pitchbook, CapitalIQ is desirable.
    • Strong sense of integrity, ethics and ownership, intellectual curiosity, excellent communication skills, solid stakeholder, and project management skills.

    Finance Controller

    Accountabilities
    The principal accountabilities cut across three main areas:

    • Commercial deals: To ensure proposals are economically balanced, and transparent. To own and manage Treasury, Controllers, and Tax interfaces and be accountable for economics. To provide financial context for proposed deals, impact on financial strategy, and translate deal dynamics into impact on cash, working capital and financial metrics.
    • Governance: To implement and maintain fit-for-purpose Governance and Finance risk management frameworks to achieve the objectives of All On and in compliance with Company requirements.
    • Reporting & Compliance: To develop reporting processes and reports highlighting the Company’ financial performance periodically. To ensure all fiscal reporting and payment obligations to statutory and regulatory organizations are made timely, as required by law.

    What will you do?

    • Facilitate the annual budget and financial planning process by working with the various business teams to understand their plans in relation to available funding.
    • Develop and refine financial management and reporting processes; and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices.
    • Facilitate the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and assess any changes necessary.
    • Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
    • Provide FM with up-to-date financial information to support effective resource allocation and decision-making and effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the Management team.
    • Act as custodian to corporate governance policies and facilitate entity wide compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
    • Provide ad hoc support to Investment Manager on potential investments into energy firms by the entity.
    • Support due diligence into energy firms, including review of financial accounts (liaising with third party advisors where required).
    • Assist in the development of financial models for new investments and other strategic initiatives.
    • Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the entity.

    Requirements
    What we need from you:

    • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related discipline.
    • Chartered Finance Analyst (Preferred), ACA, ACCA or other equivalent professional qualification.
    • Strong broad finance professional with 5+ years of experience in finance management and Commercial finance or M&A.
    • Experience in Private Equity or Venture Capital investment management.
    • Ability to manage ambiguity and taking balanced view between financial return and business priorities.
    • Excellent analytical skills, economic and financial modelling experience essential.
    • Good commercial acumen and ability to operate within a dynamic rapidly changing environment and achieve outstanding results while creating and protecting value for Company.
    • Good understanding of the governance structure of ventures or joint ventures and their key value drivers
    • Good team player but also able to deliver results independently.
