    Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Manage Safety functions in line with business policies, procedures and standards.
    • Ensure conformance with safety and OHSAS 14001 & 18001:2007 standards and requirements
    • Identify system problems, investigate and recommend solutions.
    • Participate in Safety Incident Investigations and Risk assessments
    • Conduct internal audits.
    • Facilitate root cause investigations of non-conformances and take necessary corrective andpreventative actions.
    • Motivate and oversee the implementation of Safety improvement initiatives.
    • Coordinate and attend regular Safety meetings.
    • Arrange and/or conduct induction training.
    • Prepare and forward weekly reports to the SHEQ Superintendent.
    • Perform a monthly H&S inspection at the 8 Ikoyi sites and submit report to the SHEQ Superintendent.
    • Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
    • Liaise with client’s HSE/security/operational staff to carry out regular HSE tests/drills, fire-fighting practice and other drills to keep the workers alert and sensitive to their environment.
    • Provide expertise and compliance support for project management.
    • Implement PTW when required and assist dept. to fill up the work box preparation
    • Monitor daily PTW implementation and revalidation
    • Assists in speedy and smooth response and action in case of emergencies.

    Requirements
    Education and Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s in Engineering, or Science in Oil and Gas related discipline
    • HSE Certification 1, 2, 3 and other HSE related certifications.

    Experience:

    • Approximately 1 to 2 years in HSE ideally with a multi-national organization;
    • Approximately 1 year to HSE Training
    • Approximately 1 to 2 years in an Operational HSE environment
    • Experience of dealing with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner;
    • Track record of developing and implementing HSE/Training policies and systems.

    Cold Room / AC Technician

    Responsibilities

    • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks.
    • Undertake response maintenance of refrigeration systems.
    • Identify parts required for the servicing and repair of refrigeration systems.
    • Undertake condition reports of the existing systems.
    • Undertake Quality Assurance checks of material supplied
    • Inspect and check the work delivered by Contractors.
    • Identify critical stock items.
    • Follows the direction and instructions given to them by supervisor and or line managers.
    • Supervises any junior team members.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of Trade Tests I, II, and III.
    • IOSH Safety in Construction Management
    • First Aid (3-day course)
    • 3-5 years of work experience within the electrical industry, preferably maintenance.

    Plumber

    Responsibilities

    • Undertakes Planned Maintenance tasks.
    • Undertakes Reactive maintenance tasks.
    • Mentors Local mechanical staff and provides guidance and on the job training.
    • Identifies materials required for tasks.
    • Undertakes load testing.
    • Assist in the identification of critical spares items.
    • Monitor contractor’s progress and standard of work.
    • Liaises with the all department and the various contractors.
    • Track the progress of works and the MDQ

    Qualifications and Experience

    • A minimum of SSCE
    • Trade Test 1,2,3 & Apprenticeship certificate
    • 5 years’ work experience mechanical industry, preferable maintenance.

    SHEQ Supervisor

    Responsibilities

    • Manage, develop, implement and exercise SHEQ activities across all sites;
    • Oversea, control and maintain inventory of materials/records related to SHEQ activities;
    • Monitor and review workplace practices to ensure compliance with SHEQ legislation, SOP’s/policy and provide recommendations for improvement to management;
    • Manage Safety functions in line with business policies, procedures and standards.

    • Identify system problems, investigate and recommend solutions.
    • Participate in Safety Incident Investigations and Risk assessments

    • Ensure equipment/infrastructure is maintained that ensures optimum performance;

    • Undertake SHEQ inspections of all areas to ensure compliance with legal requirements;
    • Recommending, designing and facilitating awareness training as appropriate;
    • Supervise and monitor the distribution of PPEs and other SHEQ equipment and assets;
    • Ensure equipment is maintained and certificated in cooperation with other business units;
    • Produce reports and correspondence utilizing various business software;
    • Gathers SHEQ and records statistical information for reporting purposes;
    • Conducting regular on-job SHEQ training as directed by Management;

    Requirements
    Education and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s in Engineering, or Science in Oil and Gas related discipline
    • HSE Certifications E.g. Level 3 Certification in NEBOSH National General Certificate IOSH Working Safely, First Aid, Safety Auditing, Instructor and Train-the-Trainer, basic fire-fighting,
    • Working knowledge of Environmental Discharges, Incident reporting system, Incident Investigation, HSE Auditing, JSA etc.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years in HSE officer role and working knowledge of HSE Management System in a multi-national or Oil and Gas industry
    • Experience of dealing with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner;
    • Track record of working with HSE department in developing and implementing HSE policies and systems.
