    HSE Manager

    Job Summary

    • EFL Logistics is seeking a dedicated and proactive HSE Manager to oversee the implementation and management of our Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and practices within our terminal operations.
    • This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional to make a significant impact in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors and visitors.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
    • Investigating Workplace Incidents, establishes the causes and recommends preventive action against a recurrence
    • Identify, implement, and audit all relevant HSSE legislation and standards to ensure compliance.
    • Develop and audit the HSE Management Plan in alignment with regional operational strategies to create a safe working environment.
    • Ensure the maintenance and availability of critical safety equipment in accordance with legal requirements.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate controls.
    • Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in safety practices.
    • Lead incident investigations, ensuring thorough analysis and reporting to prevent recurrence.
    • Collaborate with department heads to ensure HSE training and awareness programs are effectively delivered.
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and standards.
    • Facilitate safety meetings and workshops to promote a proactive safety culture

    Who We Are Looking For

    • Bachelor's Degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • NEBOSH IGC or ISPON certification.
    • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in HSE management, preferably within the logistics or terminal industry.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of container terminal operational activities.
    • Effective negotiation, conflict resolution and strong influencing abilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and foster cooperation to achieve safety objectives.
    • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
    • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

    Head Mechanic (RS, EH, Crane and Forklift)

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Mechanic to oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet of empty handlers, cranes, forklifts, and reach stackers.

    • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
    • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding equipment maintenance.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
    • Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs and ensure seamless logistics operations.
    • Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with a focus on logistics or warehousing operations.
    • Proven experience in managing a team of mechanics or technicians.
    • Strong knowledge of empty handlers, forklifts, and reach stackers, including diagnostic and repair procedures.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

    Team Lead, Monitoring and CCTV Surveillance

    Job Summary

    • The Team Lead for Monitoring and Surveillance will oversee the terminal's security operations through effective use of surveillance technology, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing security risks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee 24/7 monitoring of the terminal’s security using an advanced CCTV system, ensuring continuous surveillance of all sensitive areas.
    • Identify, assess, and report potential security threats, unauthorized activities, and breaches within the terminal and nearby vicinity.
    • Ensure constant vigilance and proactive threat detection through careful monitoring of live feeds and recorded surveillance footage.
    • Regularly inspect the functionality of all CCTV cameras and surveillance equipment; promptly escalate any technical issues to the maintenance team or relevant authorities.
    • Maintain detailed records of incidents, including any suspicious activities, unusual movements, or structural compromises such as breaches in perimeter fencing.
    • Manage and secure CCTV footage, ensuring that recordings are archived and retrievable for a minimum of 30 days, with regular checks to confirm that all systems are functioning correctly.
    • Supervise a team of surveillance operators, ensuring adherence to operational protocols and providing guidance and training as needed.
    • Collaborate closely with the security team and emergency services to report incidents or coordinate responses to potential threats.
    • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of surveillance equipment, coordinating repairs or replacements when necessary.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and incident-specific reports for the management team, highlighting any security concerns or operational gaps.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Security Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from a reputable institution.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security monitoring, CCTV operations, or maintenance, preferably within a high-security facility such as a port, bonded terminal or logistics.
    • Proven experience managing surveillance teams and handling large-scale monitoring operations.
    • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to observe and recall critical incidents or anomalies.
    • Excellent report writing and incident documentation skills.
    • Good communication and coordination skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments, including IT, security, and logistics teams.
    • Familiarity with maintaining and troubleshooting CCTV equipment and other security systems.
    • Proficiency in using surveillance software and systems, with basic technical knowledge of CCTV setups.
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
