    Primary School Yoruba Teacher

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Yoruba Teacher to join our primary school team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Yoruba language and culture to students from Grades 1-6.
    • This role requires a teacher who can inspire a love for the Yoruba language, promote cultural awareness, and create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Special and Education Need (SEN)

    Responsibilities

    • Provide high-quality education and support to students with special educational needs
    • Develop and implement personalized learning plans (PLPs) for each student
    • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure inclusive practices and support
    • Adapt curriculum materials to meet individual student needs
    • Assess and track student progress, reporting to parents and guardians
    • Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
    • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education or related field
    • Experience with SEN assessment and reporting tools
    • Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies

    Requirements

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    • Experience working with students with SEN (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties)
    • Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices
    • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
    • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with SEN.
