    Junior Operator (Stretch Hood)

    Description

    • Packer Operator with the skills and competence to operate machinery and equipment according to instructions in a safe and effective manner.
    • Monitoring Bulk loading operation panels.
    • To load and dispatch 750mt of cement in twelve hours.
    • To load and dispatch 2 trucks per hour.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Loading of 50kg bags on pallets.
    • Unloading and loading of pallets.
    • Palletization loading from Auto loading machine.
    • Ensure that 750mt of cement per twelve hour per shift is being dispatched.
    • Give attendance to shift manager and take any specific instruction.
    • Always operate autoloaders, Palletizer machine in auto mode.
    • Keep checking bags weight for 50kg, else inform supervisor.
    • Stack reject bags properly.
    • Stack busted bags properly.
    • Do not leave work spot without permission.
    • Clean packers line periodically without unwanted material such as rejected and busted bags.
    • Inform shift manager and shift supervisor about any issues.
    • Give attendance to shift manager and take any specific instruction.
    • Proper taking over from previous shift.
    • Hand over with proper communication to reliever.
    • Carry out simple arithmetic operations for loading programs.
    • Manually correct loading programs when mistakes occur.
    • Stop or reset auto packer when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
    • Count and record finished and rejected bags of cement.
    • Clean the auto packer with compressed air during and at the end of each shift.
    • Ensure ATC and loading slips are received before trucks are loaded.

    Requirements
    Academic / Professional Qualifications:

    • Trade Test 1, 2, 3.
    • WASC / GCE / SSCE with minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience.

    Work Experience:

    • SSCE + 5 years work experience.
    • Trade Test 1, 2, 3 + 2 years work experience.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Basic knowledge of cement production process.
    • Working knowledge auto packer parts and their functions.
    • Ability to operate auto packer and palliating effectively.
    • Good knowledge of the cement packing machines/ functions and procedures
    • Good relationship interpersonal skills.

    Fleet Officer

    Description

    Job Summary

    Provide support for the implementation of transport policies and processes by participating in planning/ coordinating the movement of cement products and/ or materials between the Plant and approved areas.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage vehicular traffic, including loading activities (off-loading and on-loading) at the Plant to ensure overall orderliness and efficiency of depot operations.
    • Ensure appropriate storage of incoming materials at the designated facilities in the Plant.
    • Coordinate loading of products onto allocated trucks for dispatch to approved locations outside the Plant.
    • Ensure that all plant logistics activities comply with DIL’s Health, Safety, and Environment standards.
    • Coordinate efficient and timely loading of customers’ trucks with purchased products on a FIFO basis.
    • Develop and submit reports of logistics activities at the Plant and provide recommendations where necessary.
    • Ensure recovery of AGO for short kilometers.
    • Follow up on accident cases to ensure prompt actions are taken for safety of life and company property.
    • Ensure all accident and related documents are collected on time.
    • Ensure all vehicles are coming with raw materials from designated location whenever there’s feasibility of collecting raw materials.
    • Ensure timely allocation of vehicles for collection of spares.
    • Liaising with Transporters acquiring information on:
    • Arrival of Trucks
    • Truck Breakdowns
    • Any other Emergency Occurrences
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Transportation Management, Supply Chan, Logistics, or another related field
    • Minimum of two (3) years’ experience in fleet management

    Skills and Competences

    • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
    • Working knowledge of inventory management terminologies, methodologies, and approach.
    • Basic knowledge of system-based inventory management systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Attention to details and quality.
    • Willingness to learn, improve and adapt to changing requirements.

    Tracking Officer (Customer Trucks)

    Description

    Key Role & Responsibilities

    • Operate the tracking system in order to monitor trucks allocated under the Customer Trucks Empowerment Scheme (CTES).
    • Provide on-demand detailed reports of vehicle locations and times from the tracking system.
    • Ensure tracking devices installed on all CTES trucks are in good working order and liaise with tracking installation engineers to rectify non-reporting devices.
    • Gather tracking data to develop improvement plan for CTES management.
    • Perform related assignments as required.

    Forklift Operator (Stretch-Hood)

    Description

    Job Summary:

    Take responsibility for moving goods around warehouses or other industrial sites using forklifts.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Operating forklifts to move pallets of products between storage racks and workstations
    • Inspecting pallets to ensure that they are structurally sound and safe for use
    • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks of machinery.
    • Operate all Forklift in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
    • Ensure Forklift is safely and securely stored.
