    Truck Mechanic (Team Lead - Large Trucks)

    Job Description

    • Responsible for formulating and implementing plans for the maintenance and upkeep of the fleet, ensuring orderly execution.
    • Responsible for arranging and guiding staff to complete work tasks, and tracking and supervising work progress.
    • Responsible for safety measures in vehicle maintenance and upkeep, ensuring compliance with operational norms and safety measures.
    • Responsible for auditing and accepting the quality of vehicle maintenance to ensure compliance with requirements.
    • Responsible for coordinating cooperation between the maintenance department and other departments to ensure smooth maintenance and upkeep work.
    • Responsible for reporting on the completion of maintenance for the day and the progress of maintenance plans for the next day.

    Requirements

    • A First Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
    • At least 5 years of experience in maintenance and management in a large truck repair shop
    • Familiarity with the repair of engines, gearboxes, chassis, electrical circuits of large trucks; proficient in computer document processing, etc.

    Line Haul Supervisor

    Job Description

    • The Line Haul Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of line haul operations, ensuring optimal driver performance, truck tracking, shipment and movement monitoring, compliance with pickup and delivery standard operating procedures (SOPs), diesel management, and truck documentation monitoring.
    • The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise and provide leadership to line haul drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Schedule and coordinate driver shift, routes, and assignments.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
    • Address and resolve driver-related issues and concerns promptly.
    • Utilize GPS and other tracking systems to monitor the real-time location and status of trucks.
    • Ensure trucks are operating within designated routes and schedules.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics / Transportation / Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation or logistics, with a focus on line haul operations or related function.
    • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS tracking software.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Chinese Translator

    Job Description

    • This is a full-time on-site role as a Chinese Translator at Speedaf Nigeria located in Lagos.
    • As a Chinese Translator, your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate and timely translation services from Chinese to English and vice versa.
    • You will be translating various types of documents, including emails, reports, and legal documents.
    • Additionally, you will assist with interpretation during meetings and conferences.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Chinese, must be at least on HSK 5 level
    • Fluent in both Chinese and English
    • Proven experience as a translator or similar role
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.

    • Must be able to identify prospects, identify prospects' challenges and proffer solutions and build rapport and maintain client relationships and Retention.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
    • Must be a good negotiator.
