    City Operations Lead

    Job Purpose

    • As the City Operations Lead for Ibadan you'll spearhead our efforts to grow the city's market presence, optimise operations, and enhance customer relationships. Your leadership will be crucial in driving sales, expanding our client base, and elevating customer satisfaction and retention

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage Key Accounts: Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention through effective management of relationships with designated key account specialists.
    • Inventory Monitoring: Collaborate with the warehouse team to monitor stock levels and ensure timely restocking to meet customer demand.
    • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with logistics and supply teams to guarantee product availability and address customer needs promptly.
    • Customer Base Expansion: Strategically increase the city's customer base using various acquisition channels, focusing on enhancing retention rates.
    • Client Management: Contact centre operations to reduce customer churn and improve retention.

    • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with key accounts to fulfil mutual needs and expectations.
    • Relationship Building: Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with key accounts through regular, direct communication and meetings.
    • Collaboration and Strategy: Work in tandem with other City Operations Leads to share strategies and improve retention and acquisition efforts.

    Platform Engineer (Unix/Linux Engineer)

    Job Purpose

    • We are seeking a Unix/Linux Engineer who will be accountable for availability, performance, costs, and risks related to all Oracle Hardware, Oracle Virtualization, Unix / Linux OS, VMWare, High-end and Midrange storages, and backups.
    • The Systems Engineer will provide enterprise-wide Unix/Linux/VMWare System infrastructure support for complex system and interconnected technologies that require day-today support and administration to maintain optimum performance and utilization. Provide support in the following areas: Solaris/Linux Systems Operational Support and server virtualization, Enterprise Backup solutions Availability of the services.
    • Performance and quality of the services
    • Capacity management of the services
    • Change management of the Servers
    • Incident and Problem management in Solaris/Linux/VMWare/Backup domains

    License management

    • Infrastructure management consists of the following domains.

    System Management

    • System Management unit is responsible for of the management of Solaris/Linux/VMWare environment.
    • Storage & backup management
    • Management Mid-Range & High-End Storage and backup solutions like Networker/ NetBackup. Ensures data is stored securely and available at all point in time for business recovery.

    Job Responsibility

    Availability Management

    • Ensure that availability of services exceed the defined service levels.
    • Maintain Solaris/Linux/VMWare infrastructure environment during business hours and off-hours.
    • Design, Install, configure, and maintain highly optimized Virtualized Solaris/Linux/VMWare environment.
    • Performance Management and Quality of service
    • Define performance management parameters for related services.
    • Ensure the services exceed the defined performance levels. Review performance on a regularly and ensure proactive actions and communication to avoid disruption to services.
    • Change and Configuration Management
    • Ensure that changes to Solaris/Linux/VMWare servers are managed and operate within the agreed service levels.
    • Ensure that Changes to applications are performed within the Architecture guidelines.
    • Incident and Problem Management
    • Provide first level support for incidents and problems related front end solutions. Ensure that incidents and problems do not impact the agreed service levels.
    • •Manage services from relevant vendors.

    License Management

    • Manage all licenses related to Server Infra within the scope of the team. Ensure that the services are operated within the defined measures and controls.
    • Ensure licenses are renewed on a regular basis.
    • Disaster Recovery
    • Responsible for disaster recovery of NI systems & data centers. Work closely with other teams to achieve overall disaster recovery and continuity to suit organizational needs.
    • Provide data protection, recovery, and business continuity; test and validate disaster recovery. And business continuity methods in Solaris/Linux/VMWare environment.

    Experience / Skills Required

    Education

    • Educated to Degree level from a recognized university in computer science or relevant subject in technology. Preferably holds an Engineering degree.

    Professional

    • At least 5+ years of experience as a Unix/Linux Engineer in relevant industries
    • In-depth knowledge of SPARC Hardware and Solaris OS & Oracle Virilizations (LDOMS/Zones)
    • In-depth knowledge of RedHat Linux OS
    • In-depth knowledge of VMWare vSphere, vRCLI & vROPS, ARIA
    • Excellent Knowledge in High-end and Mid-range storages (PowerMax/PowerStore/DataDomain/ECS) including design and replication technologies.
    • In-depth Knowledge of Enterprise backup solutions (Networker/NetBackup).
    • In-depth Knowledge in Veritas Cluster including fault tolerant configuration and maintenance.
    • Design and deploy systems with HA.
    • Should have very strong working knowledge on OS & Infrastructure Application patching, maintaining Oracle Solaris (11) Patching Repository, RedHat Satellite servers & Qualys patching tool.
    • Performance Tuning skills in OS (Unix/Linux) / Storage & Backup.
    • Excellent Knowledge in Ansible automation tools and scripting
    • Experience in Public Cloud (OCI/Azure/AWS)
    • Proven expertise in computer science, software engineering and information systems preferably for financial services industry
    • International certification on RedHat Linux, Solaris, VMWare, Storage, Backup products will be added advantage.

    • Proven track record in B2B sales and conversion. 
    • Must have existing good relationships with lounges, clubs or restaurants that are easily convertible. 
    • Excellent numerical, interpersonal, communication and people management skills
    • Tech savviness and a willingness to work with/sell SaaS.
    • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales Targets.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships 
    • Strong verbal and written communication skill
