    Head, Refractory Planning and Management

    Job Summary

    • Supervise and coordinate the execution of all refractory operations in the production unit to achieve production and quality targets.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversea and ensure refractory planning, budgeting and availability.
    • Planning of shut-downs and executing refractory jobs with optimum safety.
    • Maintain bricks consumption per clinker production.
    • Planning and monitoring of refractory life.
    • Updating refractory bricks lining chart.
    • Ordering of right quality bricks.
    • Inspection of ordered bricks, cast-able and other refractory materials.
    • Maintenance of all refractory equipments.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head, Production.

    Key Requirements
    Education and Work Experience:

    • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or any other related Technical discipline.
    • Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant work experience.

    Skills and Behaviours:

    • Good knowledge of cement production process.
    • Good knowledge of product quality parameters.
    • Good knowledge of refractory equipment and their functions.

    Assistant Head - Learning and Development

    Job Summary

    • Support the Head, Learning and Development in the enhancement of employees’ skills, performance, productivity and quality of work across the organisation.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with Plant HR Leads and HODs
    • Implements overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations
    • Deploy a wide variety of training methods
    • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
    • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
    • Manage training budget
    • Provide opportunities for ongoing development
    • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
    • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.

    Requirements
    Academics:

    • First Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or any related discipline.
    • Membership of a work related professional body is an advantage.

    Work Experience:

    • 9 - 12 years experience in employee training and development, with a track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
    • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc).

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
    • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
    • Good computer and database skills.

    Job Summary

    • Supporting and contributing to the Line Manager's success

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assisting the Manager in the organization of his daily responsibilities: meetings, appointments, filtering of mails, writing of reports and mails, etc.
    • Interpreting and implementing policies, procedures and computer applications related to the organizational unit.
    • Analyzing and resolving office administrative and procedural problems.
    • Performing basic research and preparing reports and recommendations.
    • Organizing own work, coordinating projects, setting priorities, meeting deadlines and following up on assignments with a minimum supervision.
    • Using initiative and independent judgement within established policy and procedural guidelines.

    Requirements
    Academics:

    • Minimum of an OND certificate.
    • Bilingual certification (English & French) is an advantage.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Should have 3 – 6 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or other relevant administrative support experience.
    • In-depth understanding of entire MS Office suite.
    • Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities.
    • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
    • Professional level verbal and written communications skills.
