    Managing Director- Oil Palm Plantation

    Job Description

    • To ensure the effective management, growth and profitability of Client. Overall responsibility for the Farm (Mill and Plantation), from the daily operations to long term strategy.
    • Responsible for annual Production Planning / Budgeting (Plantation and Mill) and driving achievement of set targets.
    • Works with heads of departments to define strategic direction and ensures alignment
    • Overall responsibility  for plantation activities e.g. site clearing, nurseries establishment and management, planting, harvesting, maintenance.
    • Ensures adequate training and performance management support is provided for the development of staff.
    • Oversee Production cost management and effective cost reduction program.
    • Ensures constant monitoring of production efficiencies in Mill and Plantation. Drive optimal operating performance and minimal down time.
    • Ensuring all required infrastructure / equipment are provided and in good functional condition.
    • Provide leadership in the strategic planning and execution of Plantation expansion/development programmes.
    • Responsible for optimal asset utilization and operational performance.
    • Ensure conformance with industry best practices / regulatory standards in Mill operations and Plantation maintenance.
    • Prepare the Mill for necessary certification and maintain same
    • Present monthly Operations Report to the Board, on the operational state of all aspects of the Mill / Plantation, financial performance and relevant recommendations.
    • Oversee effective sales and marketing of products
    • Develop, review and ensure compliance with standard operating practices and quality control standards
    • Drive effective inventory control system from inputs through to finished products
    • Implement training programs for employee development and ensuring adequate back-up for key positions.
    • Engage with the communities, government agencies and other relevant stakeholders operations to ensure smooth running of operations

    Qualifications

    • Must possess at least a B.Sc/B.Eng in Mechanical / Agric Engineering / degree in Agriculture / Forestry / Plantation Management or equivalent
    • 12 – 15 years minimum Total work experience required,
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Senior management position at an FMCG Company, preferably food related.
    • Experience in Palm Oil Mill / Plantation Management is a requirement.
    • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office packages: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

    Procurement Officer (Downstream)

    Job Description

    • Implements the vendor sourcing process in line with agreed procurement guidelines
    • Plans and forecasts the procurement requirements of Client
    • Maintains relationships with vendors
    • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers with intention to provide favourable terms for Client
    • Processes vendor invoices as required
    • Supervises the inspection of material deliveries
    • Liaises with the various divisions to know their needs and requirements and expedites the procurement process for such
    • Tracks overall spending and ensures it’s within the budget
    • Conducts due diligence of potential suppliers and monitors performance of pre‐qualified suppliers engaged by Client
    • Evaluates suppliers’ offers in terms of the commercial and technical requirements and prepares the appropriate management reports

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Procurement function in a similar organisation focusing on petroleum products procurement
    • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Social Sciences, or any other relevant discipline.
    • Member of relevant professional qualification e.g. Chartered institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS),

    Group Head - Risk, Legal & Compliance (Downstream)

    Job Description

    • Develops and drives the execution of the Group Risk, Governance and Legal Strategy.
    • Evaluates the internal and external business contexts for potential and current risks and provides insights on the appropriate response to Group management
    • Establishes the appropriate risk and business controls framework across the business, works with Business Divisions and Functional Groups to implement and communicate
    • Leads the development, periodic review and update of supporting risk and business control policies, procedures and practices
    • Keeps abreast of relevant laws, regulations and code of good business practices and incorporates them into the internal risk and governance frameworks
    • Provides strategic oversight to the Legal team to ensure legal risks are minimised
    • Develops an appropriate and effective compliance training strategy
    • Identifies appropriate regulatory certifications and manages the certification process
    • Drives and coordinates internal preparations and responses during relevant regulatory examinations / reviews.
    • Provides accurate and objective business control assessment reports (issues, recommendations) to inform and guide management on the state of compliance with.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in internal control, auditing of a similar company/industry, 3 out of which must have been in a managerial role
    • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Accounting or a Finance related discipline
    • Relevant professional certifications e.g. Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Association of Certified & Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

    Desirable:

    • MBA or Master’s degree in a related discipline is an advantage
