    Media Support Officer

    Overview

    • The Accord for Community Development (ACCORD) is a social enterprise that specializes in the provision of sustainable development solutions and initiatives. Over the last three (3) decades, Accord has successfully partnered with various development partners in implementing development interventions in Nigeria especially in the Niger Delta. Accord is an active player in providing services for major international corporate entities in managing their corporate social investments in their host communities. Accord is headquartered in Port Harcourt and also maintains offices in Abuja, Lagos and Agbor, Delta State.
    • The media space is increasing by seconds of the day, in this vein, Accord being a vast social enterprise organization that has recently envisioned a couple of ideas in the tech/ media space, expanding to online marketplace, e-Governance for corporate organizations, etc. which conforms to Tech-4-Dev concepts.
    • Accord seeks to recruit for immediate employment/ internship program, a competent and highly motivated individual to support in the media department as a team player at the Port Harcourt office.
    • The individual (either male or female) should be able to work with PHP, CSS, JavaScript, use Content Management Systems (CMS) to power websites, he or she must be well articulate when it comes to writing, have good listening and English-speaking skills, vast in social media strategies.

    Job Description

    • He or she would be involved in the production of websites and management of a couple of social media platforms for the organization as well as the collection/ collation of contents from field managers/ officers to be converted to website and social media platform stories.
    • Support in the media production processes and other activities that would be assigned to him or her in the course of Accord’s intervention programs.

    Qualifications / Experience

    • B.Sc or HND in Media or any ICT related fields
    • Skills in the use of PHP, CSS, JavaScript web technologies
    • Skills in the use of Content Management Systems (CMS) to power websites
    • Ability to work with graphic tools
    • Ability to analyse information and make good decisions with them
    • A very good command of English and communication skills are essential
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Ability to correspond and communicate independently with clients
    • Possession of computer training certificate(s) from a reputable computer academy irrespective of your major may be an added advantage
    • Computer literacy is compulsory (Proficiency in M.S Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

    Salary
    N80,000 - N120,000 monthly.

    Program Manager

    Job Description

    • We are in the process of recruiting staff for our intervention program in Lagos State. The organization has set up an Enterprise Linkage center in Lagos which provides enterprise development solutions for SMEs, women in microenterprise as well as prepare youth for beneficial participation in economic activities.
    • As a result, Accord is currently recruiting to add to its team in the center in Lagos. The successful candidate will be an integral team member in the various programs including the LSETF-USADF project implementation.

    Job Responsibilities
    The ideal individual is expected to play the following roles:

    • Manage high net-worth enterprise training programs
    • Ability to train diverse beneficiaries in a vocational centre and offer business trainings
    • Undertake business linkage and enterprise field exercise
    • Prospect for employer partners who will absorb trainees on internship and employment schemes.
    • Will undertake compliance related functions and manage high-ended contractual documents.
    • Perform routine administrative functions.

    Qualifications

    • The ideal candidate should have an Advanced Degree in Economics, Business Management, Accounting, Project Management and related field.
    • Professional qualification in the listed areas with strong background in the private, public and civil society space performing business management functions is highly sought.
    • The Program Manager must have a strong managerial ability in managing and implementing cross-cutting project and donor funds. This candidate must have a strong business background.

    Salary
    N80,000 - N120,000 / Month.

    Business Analyst

    Job Description

    • We are in the process of recruiting staff for our intervention program in Lagos State.     • As a result, Accord is currently recruiting to add to its team in the center in Lagos. The successful candidate will be an integral team member in the various programs including the LSETF-USADF project implementation.

    Job Responsibilities

    • The Business Analyst is expected to be versed in the use of statistical tools and software. As a Business Analyst, the candidate will conduct regular research on key market and economic indices and compile same.
    • The Analyst will also be involved in undertaking periodic reviews of the various enterprise development programs in Accord as well as for institutional partners.

    In addition, the following roles will be performed by the candidate:

    • Be involved in periodic business analysis of trends, outlining problems, opportunities and come up with right solutions.
    • Lead team members in regular budgeting and forecast of key economic index
    • Be involved in financial modelling of trends across programs in Accord and for partners
    • Conduct regular market surveys in specific areas and report same to key stakeholders
    • Be involved in market surveys, variance analysis of trends and come up with best policy actions.

    Qualifications

    • This candidate should possess a Degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Business Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related areas.
    • This candidate must be versatile in the usage of Excel and general Microsoft office suite.
    • A professional certification for this role will be an added advantage but not required.

    IT and Media Specialist

    Details

    • The IT and Media Specialist is expected to have specialized skills in Information and Communication Technology and have capacity to equip others with the skill.
    • The ideal candidate is expected to have high level experience in managing top-notch portfolio for institutional clients and also be able to implement them.
    • The ideal candidate we are looking for should be versed in:
      • Website and Mobile Application development
      • Graphics Design
      • Autocad
      • 3D Design & Animation
      • UI/UX Design and other related computer competencies

    Qualifications

    • The prospective candidate should have a Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Database Management and related areas.
    • A professional certification will enhance the chances of being considered to take up this role.
    • To take up this role, the individual must be computer and gadget savvy.

    Finance & Admin Manager

    Job Description

    Job Responsibilities

    • To take up this role, the ideal candidate must be able to coordinate activities in the office and ensure the smooth running of the office.

    Specifically, the candidate must be able to:

    • Perform general administrative tasks such as preparing correspondences and respond to same.
    • Undertake accounting tasks and perform book-keeping functions using excel, quick books and related accounting packages in performing the requisite duties.
    • Keep project documents in proper formats and make them available for use
    • Maintain the imprest for the office, prepare invoices, disburse funds according to specified headings and perform related tasks.
    • Support multi-project staff to undertake their tasks which is inclusive of the LSETF-USADF project
    • Must have the requisite skills to interface with organizations and seal deals with clients
    • Ensure the work environment including work tools are in good condition and other tasks as may be assigned for the smooth running of the organization.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should posses a B.Sc in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or other Social Sciences related course.
    • A professional certification and MSc in the requisite field is a plus but not compulsory.
    • The ideal candidate should have a strong background in office management, managing financial systems as well as play the role of an administrator and finance personnel seamlessly in the organization.
    • The individual must also be conversant in the usage of Microsoft office suites.

    Salary
    N80,000 - N120,000 / Month.
