    Music Teacher

    Summary

    • The Music Teacher is responsible for instructing students in music theory, history, and performance.
    • The role includes developing and delivering a comprehensive music curriculum that meets educational standards, fostering a love for music in students, and encouraging musical creativity and performance skills.

    Instruction and Teaching:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons that cater to a diverse range of student abilities and interests.
    • Teach various aspects of music, including theory, history, and different musical genres.
    • Instruct students in the proper use and care of musical instruments.
    • Develop students' musical skills through individual and group performances, rehearsals, and music projects.

    Curriculum Development:

    • Design and implement a balanced and comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
    • Create lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods to address different learning styles.
    • Integrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience.

    Assessment and Evaluation:

    Qualifications

    Laboratory Assiatant

    Job Summary

    • The Laboratory Assistant supports the science department by preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, assisting in conducting experiments, and ensuring a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
    • This role involves working closely with teachers, students, and other staff members to facilitate practical science lessons and activities.

    Duties / Responsibilities
    Laboratory Preparation:

    • Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for biology, chemistry, and physics experiments.
    • Ensure that all necessary supplies and reagents are available and properly labeled.
    • Assist in the preparation of solutions, cultures, and other experimental materials.

    Assisting in Experiments:

    • Provide support to teachers and students during laboratory sessions.
    • Demonstrate proper use of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
    • Assist students with experiments, ensuring they follow protocols and safety guidelines.

    Equipment Maintenance:

    • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces.
    • Conduct regular checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to the laboratory manager.
    • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of instruments and apparatus.

    Safety and Compliance:

    • Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the laboratory.

    • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections and inventory of hazardous materials.

    Inventory Management:

    • Monitor and manage inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and equipment.
    • Order and restock supplies as needed, maintaining accurate inventory records.
    • Assist in the procurement process by researching and recommending new equipment and materials.

    Administrative Support:

    • Maintain laboratory logs, records, and documentation of experiments.
    • Assist in the preparation of laboratory manuals and instructional materials.
    • Provide administrative support to the science department as needed.

    Professional Development:

    • Stay informed about new laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.

    Additional Duties:

    Qualifications

    • NCE, HND or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline).
    • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
    • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and instruments.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Work Environment:

    • The Laboratory Assistant will work in a laboratory and classroom setting within a school environment. The role may require occasional evening or weekend hours for special events or activities.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, sit, and move around the laboratory for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry laboratory equipment and supplies. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle delicate instruments and materials. Visual and auditory ability to observe experiments and respond to safety issues.
