    People Operations Specialist

    Role Objectives

    • To support our ambitious growth goals, MDaaS is seeking a People Operations Specialist with a strong background in recruitment for clinical roles.
    • Based at our headquarters in Lagos, the ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and dedicated to providing an excellent applicant and employee experience.
    • Key responsibilities include driving our talent acquisition efforts, ensuring the smooth execution of hiring processes, and contributing to the continuous improvement of People Operations practices as the company expands.
    • As a healthcare organization, approximately half of our team is comprised of clinicians, including doctors, nurses, sonographers, radiographers, and lab scientists; the People Operations Specialist with collaborate closely with the leadership team, clinic managers, the People Operations Manager, and other stakeholders to implement effective talent acquisition and retention strategies.

    Role Responsibilities

    The People Operations Specialist will report directly to the company’s People Operations Lead; their responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

    • Collaborate with HQ managers, diagnostic clinic managers, and other team members to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
    • Source, screen, and interview candidates to ensure a high-quality talent pool.
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from job posting to offer negotiation.
    • Collect and analyze recruitment data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Generate regular reports on key hiring metrics, providing insights for data-driven decision-making.
    • Evaluate and optimize existing recruitment processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the overall hiring experience.
    • Collaborate with the People Operations team to facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
    • Guide new employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.

    Qualifications for People Operations Specialist

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a Management-related field.
    • At least 5 years of experience as an HR Specialist or similar role, ideally within a healthcare organization.
    • At least 3 years of experience recruiting for clinical roles, such as medical doctors, nurses, radiographers, and lab scientists.
    • Strong understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing techniques, and interviewing best practices, especially for clinical positions.
    • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in HRIS and data analysis tools.
    • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian employment laws and regulations.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

    Internal Control Manager

    Role Objective

    • To help us reach our ambitious growth goals, MDaaS is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Internal Control Manager to join the Finance & Accounting team at our company headquarters in Lagos. In this role, the Internal Control Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing controls where necessary across the company.

    Role Responsibilities

    The Internal Control Manager will report directly to the management their responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

    • Report periodically to the Managing Director and Board, on the internal control and audit activity’s purpose, authority, responsibility, and performance relative to its plan.
    • Design and prepare Annual Audit Plan (AAP) by applying a risk-based approach to ensure the organization complies with internal regulations and policies and established protocols.
    • Develop and maintain the internal control and audit procedures to ensure that best practice is taken into account and that the established controls audits address specific areas of risk management.
    • Strengthen the company’s Internal Control mechanism through in-depth recommendations.
    • Assess the suitability of current internal controls, making suggestions for improvements where needed.
    • Prepare reports of audit findings and make recommendations to the Board of Directors and Management.
    • Liaise with internal advisors and examine documentation, including reports, statements, records, and memos to gather information.
    • Protect the confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
    • Analyze audit results for adequate and effective “corrective actions” for management to improve.
    • Supervise fraud investigations involving customer accounts and recovery of fraud.
    • Develop controls to ensure the safeguarding of asset and their effective utilization.
    • Prepare and supervise audit mission, working paper formulations, report writing, and anomalies/risk identification.
    • Any other duties and responsibilities that may be required to meet the objectives of MDaaS Nigeria.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess a B.Sc or HND in Accounts and Finance-related roles.
    • Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in Internal Control. Experience in the Health sector is a plus.
    • Chartered membership of a relevant professional association.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package, especially Excel and Word.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
    • Demonstrates ability to identify, prevent, and solve problems.
    • Ability to work under pressure, independently, and with limited supervision flexibility.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to multitask to meet deadlines.
    • Promotes teamwork, contributes towards building team consensus, and acts as a team player.
    • Consistently approach work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude.

    Senior Accountant

    Role Objectives

    • To help us reach our ambitious growth goals, MDaaS is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the Finance & Accounting team at our company headquarters in Lagos.
    • The Senior Accountant’s responsibilities will include maintaining financial records, reports, and accounts, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with budget and close processes.
    • In addition, the Senior Accountant will work closely with the Head of Finance and CFO to continuously adapt and improve upon accounting processes as the company scales.

    Role Responsibilities

    The Senior Accountant will report directly to the company’s Head of Finance; their responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

    • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
    • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
    • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency
    • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
    • Manage accounting assistants and Bookkeepers
    • Prepare financial statements and budget
    • Assist with statutory and tax audit
    • Generate and deliver reports to different departments as needed.
    • Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payments.
    • Update the fixed asset register and maintain the necessary books of accounts.
    • Update the inventory software.
    • Reconcile reports to third-party records such as bank statements.
    • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
    • Liaise with Head of Finance and CFO to improve financial procedures

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess a B.Sc or HND in Accounts and Finance-related roles.
    • Minimum of 5 years cognate experience as an Accountant. Experience in the Health sector will be an added advantage.
    • Chartered membership of a relevant professional association.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package, especially Excel and Word.
    • Hands-on experience with accounting packages such as Xero.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
    • Demonstrates ability to identify, prevent, and solve problems.
    • Ability to work under pressure, independently, and with limited supervision flexibility.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to multitask to meet deadlines.
    • Promotes teamwork, contributes towards building team consensus, and acts as a team player.
