    Project Officer (SWEEP)

    • The SWEEP project Officer will work with the SWEEP Project Manager in implementing the Project on Strengthening Women Economic Empowerment Project (SWEEP) to ensure programmatic and financial integrity of the project including achievement of the project goals, objectives and outcomes.
    • The post holder will support in technical planning supervision and monitoring of field activities of SWEEP project.
    • S/he will Maintain, monitor and measure the SWEEP project implementation and contribute to effective information management on community dialogues and diffusion activities to ensure adherence SOPs.
    • The role is responsible for Participating in the monthly planning meetings to ensure effective implementation of the project, ensures project monitoring at the community level, and participate in the Technical Advisory Group meeting.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Postgraduate qualification in related field or equivalent knowledge will be an added advantage
    • Proven evidence of involvement in development related activities in Nigeria
    • Proven evidence of involvement in supporting the development of and implementing environmentally sustainable development projects
    • Proven evidence in programming around projects on SGBV
    • Experience of public speaking
    • Experience working in coalitions, networks or social movements
    • Ability to apply biblical principles to topical issues
    • Proven evidence of involvement in project management
    • People management experience
    • Experience in working with local NGOs/FBOs
    • A good understanding of Christian relief, development and environmental issues
    • Experience of networking and influencing with churches, NGOs, academics, policy makers.

    DMEAL Officer (SWEEP)

    • The SWEEP project DMEAL Officer will be responsible for supporting and advising on the design, monitoring, evaluation plan and the implementation of SWEEP project in Nigeria.
    • The post holder will assist to formulate DMEAL plans in line with the Country Strategies and GBV programmes.
    • S/he will work closely with the Tearfund West AfricaDME Advisor at the regional level to roll out the consortium DMEAL requirements.
    • The role is responsible for ensuring that effective DMEAL systems are in place for accountability and learning, to ensure that the Nigeria Core Group INGOs and their partners can be responsive to context and be agile to respond to best practice and lessons learnt within the SWEEP project and SGBV programme at large.
    • S/he will provide technical guidance and coordinate the design, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (DMEAL) of the SWEEP project.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • BSc/BA or equivalent qualification in Gender Studies, Economics, Business Management, Peacebuilding, Development, International Relations, Sociology, or other relevant courses. A master's degree in the related field will be an advantage.
    • 3 years of experience in development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation or other learning efforts is required. Proven experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of SGBV projects.
    • International NGO field experience in a similar position: programme support, development, fundraising or M&E. Experience working with local communities.
    • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and operating M&E systems within the Project Cycle Management (including logframe development and theories of change). Working with SPHERE Standards and CHS.
    • At least 3 years of experience in development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation or other learning efforts is required.
    • International NGO field experience in a similar position: programme support, development, fundraising or M&E.
    • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and operating M&E systems within the Project Cycle Management (including logframe development and theories of change).
    • Proven experience in Knowledge Management and Institutional Learning initiatives.
    • Experience in Project Cycle Management (including logframe development and M&E).
    • Experience in capacity building/ training. Working under pressure and remote environment
    • Experience in conveying stories and case studies to external audiences in an appropriate and timely manner.
    • Experience gathering visual material for communications. Experience in the use of GIS for M&E
    • Experience in strategic planning.
    • Experience in the use of an M&E database software will be essential
    • Experience of networking
    • Experience with institutional funders
    • Experience using electronic data gathering tools (Kobo, Nvivo, Atlas, etc.)

    Senior Finance Officer (JISRA/Peacebuilding)

    • The senior Finance Officer will oversee the JISRA Financial Management and liaise with the Country Consortium Lead and PoV Consortium Partners and Implementing Partners (SfCG, CAFOD, MM, Tearfund, DIWA, DREP, FOMWAN, RURCON & SUWA).
    • S/he will harmonise the Nigeria Consortium Financial reports in liaise with Tearfund West Africa Finance Team.
    • The post holder will also be responsible for the provision of practical support and advice to Tearfund partners on the following: strengthening financial management capacity, strengthening partner's internal control systems, improving financial budgeting and reporting.
    • Responsible for ensuring donor compliance for all financial management issues. Provides accounting functions and financial management input to Tearfund Nigeria.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • A Degree in Finance / Accounts or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in accounting
    • Strong technical experience in bookkeeping, accounting and financial management.
    • In-depth experience in providing financial capacity assessment to local partner
    • Experience in carrying out financial management reviews/assessment of partners by identifying critical gaps and capacity development needs
    • In depth knowledge of direct support to partner on strengthening internal controls, improving organisational and project level budgeting and reporting
    • Excellent written and verbal communication in English language.
    • Planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation skills
    • Communication and presentation skills
    • Self-motivation and a twam player
    • Computer literate in MS-Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc
    • Initiative and attention to detail

    Desirable criteria:

    • ACA / MBA / CA, ICAN, ANAN or equivalent
    • Proven experience in relief and disaster response work
    • Experience of working with Christian based partners
    • Understanding of accounting issues in the charity/NGO sector.

    • Training and mentoring skills
    • Ability to communicate in Hausa
