    Senior Technical Officer - Prevention, Care & Treatment

    Job Description

    • Will provide technical leadership and support related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS strategies and approaches in implementation of the programs. S/He will work with relevant stakeholders to coordinate the design and implementation of facility-based programs in relation to clinical management of HIV/AIDS, including the use of Anti-retroviral treatment, PMTCT, care and support, work with relevant staff and partners to coordinate the design and implementation of community-based programs in relation to community HTS and PMTCT including optimizing HIV case finding and linkage to care at supported health facilities, liaise with partners implementing community programs in order to optimize community-facility linkage of clients identified to be HIV positive and retention to care and treatment, support the provision of Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and ART in line with National and Global best practices and guideline.
    • S/He will also provide technical assistance in non-ART clinical care including the management of opportunistic infections (OI) and Palliative care capacity for PLHIV, contribute to the development of program strategies, subproject documents, work plans and budgets and represent AHNi to donors and government officials on issues of HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support at the State level.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MB.BS / MD or similar Degree with 3 to 5 years of progressive relevant experience in clinical care with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of HTS, PMTCT, anti-retroviral therapy (ART), TB HIV collaboration, care and support in resource constrained settings.
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is an advantage.
    • Experience in project development with proven experience in the planning and facilitation of training is required.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

    Technical Officer - PMTCT, PEP & CaCx

    Job Description

    • Will provide technical and programmatic support to implement high quality care and support activities with primary focus on clinical management of HIV/AIDS, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS, Reproductive Health/Family Planning (RH/FP), TB and integrated medical services at the state level.
    • S/He will coordinate the effective implementation of Cervical Cancer prevention program in the State, increase the awareness of CaCx to high-risk individuals in the facility and community.
    • The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, technical oversight, and ensure appropriate support for the development and implementation of program activities in cervical cancer prevention.
    • S/He will support the planning, coordination, and supervision of cervical cancer screening activities in ACE-supported facilities; support training facilitation of health care providers on cervical cancer prevention program and PEP and build the capacity of the health facility staff and service providers in documentation, data collection and analysis.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    Senior Technical Officer - AMERL

    Job Description

    • With technical oversight from the STA-AMERL, s/he will design and implement monitoring and evaluation activities for the state offices.
    • Work with others in the state office and local implementing partners to ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s M&E needs.
    • Manage the state office’s reporting cycle to ensure high quality and complete datasets are sent to the country office on a periodic basis, or when required.
    • On a monthly basis, ensure that high quality analyzed facility-level data is disseminated to relevant staff at facilities and decision-makers.
    • Ensure that data is used to highlight important programmatic gaps and coordinate with facility management and other departments in addressing these gaps.
    • Coordinate regular data quality assessments undertaken in a participatory manner with facility staff and ensure the completeness, consistency and validity of routine data.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • BS/BA in Statistics, Pharmacy or Microbiology with 5 to 7 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.
    • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar Degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.
    • Or MPH or MS/MA in relevant Degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.
