    SHE Manager (Safety, Health & Environmental Manager)

    Position Summary

    • As part of the Supply chain effort to improve SHE implementation and awareness at Physical Logistics, the SHE Manager role is carved out to give a very strong independent focus to Safety, Health and Environmental issues, maintain and improve the SHE standard at the workplace.

    A day in the life of the SHE Manager:

    • Drive safety culture by ensuring strict compliance to SHE rules and regulations by all personnel and 3rd party visiting the site to maintain an accident-free operation.
    • Ensure that the Occupational Health & Safety management system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the ISO 45001:2018 Standard.
    • Monitor waste segregation and maintain the record of Zero waste to Landfill.
    • Ensure all incidents on site are investigated and action plans taken to prevent recurrence.
    • Identify appropriate SHE trainings, draw up training plan and ensure all trainings are completed.
    • Ensure that reports on the performance of the Occupational, Health & Safety management system are presented to top management for review and used as a basis for improvement of the OH&S management system.
    • Ensure that an environmental management system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 International Standard.
    • Conducts Hazard identification, determine risks and ensure controls with the support of management to prevent work related accident and/or lost time.
    • Define SHE objectives and targets, communicate and ensure implementation.
    • Draw up a schedule for Behavioural feedback sessions (BFS) and coordinate its implementation.

    What Will Make You Successful?

    • B.Sc. / HND in a relevant field.
    • 6-7 years’ experience in a SHE role in FMCG industry.
    • Advanced knowledge of Safety, Health & Environment and Quality: principles, regulations and Best practices.
    • Coaching, Influencing and People Management skills.

    Agricultural Services Manager

    Position Summary

    • We are currently looking to fill the role of Agricultural Services Manager, responsible for ensuring the direct sourcing of the business as per its priorities, by driving practices for sustainable agriculture and responsible sourcing, to create competitive gaps while contributing to the development of the rural communities. e.g. manage the "Farmer Connect and other sustainability" operations.

    A day in the life of the Agricultural Services Manager:

    • Ultimately responsible for the overall management of the Nestle Nigeria Livestock Development Project (NLDP), including management of project partners, Nestle internal staff and other external stakeholders.
    • Develop and co-ordinate administrative and technical support to project partners in the management of milk collection, pasture development, herd health intervention, management of dairy farm, capacity building, community engagements, etc. in Paikon Kore, Ladduga grazing reserves, others
    • Drive projects as required to ensure the achievement of all targets and KPIs (cost, quality, volumes, people) in line with the business priorities.
    • Lead improvement projects on the dairy and other local sourcing projects, aiming at meeting quality norms, volume targets, cost competitiveness, etc.
    • Support the development of other agriculture raw materials in Nigeria, including Cereals & Grains by working with farmers and suppliers within the value chain to ensure supply.
    • Ensure compliance of the direct sourcing operations with Nestlé Responsible Sourcing principles.
    • Engage and co-create with external partners, sustainability projects (strengthen existing ones) that will support local communities, farmers and the business.
    • Ensure appropriate internal engagement and communication of all initiatives leading to Creating Shared Value (CSV).
    • Lead, coach and train team members to ensure personal development and succession planning.
    • Work with local partners, suppliers, farmers, etc. to drive the Nestle's commitment on climate and regenerative agriculture within the Cereals/Grains & Dairy Value chains.

    What Will Make You Successful?

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in pro-poor dairy development/management, management of commercial dairy farm, agronomic & processing requirement to produce high quality cereals/grains; general project design and management; stakeholder management, etc
    • Post Graduate University Degree or equivalent in Veterinary science/Animal Husbandry, Agriculture science, Food Science, & Rural Economics.
    • Demonstrated experience as a line manager in an operation of direct sourcing, including the buying/operations, proven capability to lead a team.
    • Demonstrated and on the field experience in a large rural development project.
    • Management of significant projects with external stakeholders.
    • Experience in at least one of the product categories sourced.
    • Management exposure across several functions.
    • Exposure to different factories and/or market positions, environments (Centre, Region, Market, Expatriation, Mission, Special Projects)
