    Trade Marketing Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Develop a TM strategy and annual TM plan for each category in the portfolio which delivers excellent trade execution to support/deliver the key consumer/brand objectives
    • Develop channel specific activities to exploit the particular opportunities identified for each category
    • Develop and provide the Sales teams with appropriate tools and support materials to drive outstanding execution of the TM category plans (sales presenters, POS materials)
    • Ensure that the TM plan takes full account of the sales team’s ability to execute it and prioritize key initiatives to avoid overloading the field team
    • Develop a trade visibility programme which showcases the company’s portfolio in retail channels and encourages shoppers to select the company products over competitors
    • Ensure that all NPDs are fully supported by a comprehensive TM activity programme to maximize the chance of success for the new product(s)
    • Develop clear objectives for each Trade activity and undertake pre- and post-promotion evaluation to determine ROI and if the activity met its objectives

    The person must:

    • Be self-motivated
    • Have good interpersonal skills
    • Be technology driven
    • Be very detailed and research oriented
    • Be able to multi-task

    Qualification

    • Bachelors’ Degree
    • Experience
    • Minimum of  Five (5) years sales experience in a major FMCG blue chip organisation.

    National Sales Capability Manager

    Purpose of Job

    Responsible for enabling the Company Consumer (Traditional Trade, Modern Trade) and Food service business units to build core sales capabilities to deliver growth expectations and build a talent bench for the future.
    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with HR to create a Sales capability development plan for the Consumer and Foodservice businesses
    • Ensure the execution of both on-the-job and classroom training interventions as defined in the sales capability plan
    • Establish performance metrics for each role in the Sales team   (including distributor Sales staff) and continuously evaluate the organisation against these criteria
    • Evaluate and test competencies of the Sales force to identify skill gaps
    • Establish a Train the Trainer programme for appropriate training interventions
    • Drive the transfer of Sales best practice across business units and Sales regions
    • Create an on-boarding programme for Sales and ensure that all new hires receive the appropriate induction to the company
    • Work with HR to identify high potentials and ensure that they are developed to maximise their impact on the business and are readied for future development

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelors’ Degree or HND
    • An MBA is an added advantage

    EXPERIENCE

    Minimum requirement: 10 years sales experience gained in a major FMCG blue chip organisation having occupied both field sales and training roles during

    Added advantage : Experience working in a capability role in a more developed FMCG Market
