    Listings Analysis Officer

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an exceptional and passionate individual to work in close collaboration with the Team Lead, Listings Analysis. He/she should have a comprehensive background in  analysis of Listing applications as well asreview, and analysis of Listing application documents. He/She will also convey approvalsto stockbrokers and coordinate post approval interface. 

    Responsibilities

    • Understand and interpret Capital Market rules, codes and regulations.
    • Conduct preliminary and detailed review on applications submitted to NGX Regulation Limited in line with applicable Rules.
    • Review financial statements and prepare analysis with a view to enabling informed investment decisions.
    • Review and analyse listing application documents, to ensure adequate disclosures of information and adherence to listing requirements.
    • Identify lapses in applications and liaise expeditiously with professional parties.
    • Convey approval of NGX to issuers through stockbroker(s).
    • Attending and monitoring proceedings of Board meetings.
    • Provide post approval interface to Issuers and ensure listing process is initiated within  three months of approval of application.
    • Support  yearly review of listing rules and effectively addressing any identified gaps.
    • Provide support services to other units/departments on enterprise goals.
    • Collaborate with other regulatory agencies to ensure a strong regulatory environment. 

    Person Specification & Required Qualification(s)

    • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Law or related fields.
    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ post NYSC work experience in the financial services sector.
    • Adequate knowledge of IFRS, securities legislations and corporate governance principles and codes as well as tax laws.
    • Proven ability to accurately analyse financial ratios.
    • Committed to high standards and continuous improvement. 
    • Superior organisational skills and detail orientation
    • Ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality and exhibit high standards of professionalism.
    • Transformative mind set, visionary and goal oriented, team player, enthusiasm to acquire and share knowledge, self-disciplined and aself-starter.
    • Must be able to build strong partnerships and relate with staff members on an enterprise basis.
    • Excellent knowledge of the workings and operations of the securities market.
    • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
    • Time management skills.
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Business writing skills.
    • Proficiency in computer applications (excel, power point etc.).
    • Research and teaching skills.
