Accountant at Digital Jewels Limited

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and control accounts payable; ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
• Preparation of daily bank reconciliation statements and comprehensive monthly reconciliation report for all accounts
• Ensure statutory compliance across locations.
• Facilitates competitive purchase pricing of items, in terms of negotiation and profitability
• Ensure that audit objectives are achieved, and audit queries are responded to timely and properly.
• Ensure all invoices and vouchers are posted into Sage software timely
• Ensure effective Cost control in the firm.
• Ensure that intercompany balances are accurate and correct.
• Monitor and control intercompany invoice preparation.
• Ensure that the cash book and petty cash are updated on daily basis.
• Preparation of weekly payment plan/report
• Monthly preparation of balance sheet accounts for Trade payable and other payables account, and any other assigned accounts
• Weekly preparation of intercompany account movements and support the monthly preparation of intercompany balance sheet accounts.
• Support in financial reporting process
• Monitor expenditures and other use of the firm’s resources to ensure that they are within budget.
• Physical and electronic Filing of Payment Transactions

Requirements:

• First degree in accounting or economics or other numerate discipline.
• ACA and other relevant international professional qualifications added advantage
• Minimum of 3years experience in accounting related roles.
• Experience in the use of sage
