    Community and Civil Society Engagement Coordinator

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the PEPFAR Coordinator’s office- Nigeria representative, Community and Civil Society groups and networks pulling together activities and programs into a workplan required for support and implementation through the CSO engagement funds domiciled in HJFMRI Nigeria.
    • Liase PEPFAR Coordinator’s office- Nigeria representative, Community and Civil Society groups and networks in the development of necessary and relevant documentation, communication with internal and external stakeholders as required for HJFMRI to support the workplan approved and other emerging activities as identified by community and civil Society groups and networks towards ensuring high performance and achievement of all deliverables.
    • Support the HJFMRI program team by generating evidence and analysis of community and civil society funded activities, prepare costed implementation plans based on activities gathered from community , faith, and civil society organizations and the PEPFAR coordinator’s office- Nigeria to support such groups and facilitate mobilization and coordination of financial resources to support these activities.
    • Support and where required participate with facilitator specialists who provide technical assistance to diverse community, civil society, faith-based and relevant organizations in coordinating and hosting capacity building activities, meetings and network strengthening events intended towards ensuring high performance and achievement of all deliverables of such activities and events.
    • Liase with PEPFAR Coordinator’s office Nigeria representative, Community and Civil Society groups and networks adhere to HJFMRI organizational and financial policies required for support planned activities, programs, and events. This includes collation of all activity report submissions required for HJFMRI program financial retirement and reporting ;liaising with vendors as required on specific requests connected to a community, faith and civil society led activity and events and contributing to HJFMRI monthly and quarterly program narratives on support activities.
    • Maintain close collaboration and engagement with other PEPFAR coordinator’s office-Nigeria in-country technical partners, community, faith and civil society groups, networks, and advocates towards leveraging opportunities for collaboration, avoid duplication and ensure programmatic alignment on community, civil and faith based supported activities
    • Represent the program at internal and external community, civil and faith-based coordination meetings with government institutions; bilateral donors; development partners and community civil, faith society stakeholders, as appropriate, required and directed.
    • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

    Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

    • Familiarity with the Nigerian community, faith and civil society systems, dynamics and structures responding to diverse health, policy and community systems strengthening; Proven advocacy experience and skills to articulate the needs of diverse community, faith and civil society groups, networks, and organizations; Proven ability to assess and manage complex activities simultaneously in a time-sensitive environment meeting competing deadlines; Ability to work as an effective team member in a complex and fast paced environment; Proven interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse people, groups, networks clients and consultants/facilitators in a meaningful and respectful manner

    Education And Experience

    • Associates Degree's required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years experience required

    Physical Capabilities

    • Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.
