    Generator Mechanic (Power Plant), DCT

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Generator Mechanic to join our Power Plant team at Dangote Cement Transport. As a Generator Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing power generators to ensure their optimal performance and reliability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in power generators.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting generator components.
    • Repair or replace faulty parts and components to restore generator functionality.
    • Test and evaluate generator performance and make necessary adjustments.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures during all maintenance and repair activities.
    • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and generator performance.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in generator technology.
    • Collaborate with the Power Plant team to ensure efficient and reliable operation of generators.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

    Requirements

    • B. Eng, HND, ND or equivalent.
    • Trade certification as a generator mechanic or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a generator mechanic, preferably in a power plant.
    • Strong knowledge of generator systems and components.
    • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
