    Head of Finance and Accounts

    Role Overview:

    The Head of Finance and Accounts at Mopheth Group is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. This role encompasses financial reporting, performance management, and corporate finance responsibilities, ensuring that the company’s financial operations are efficient, compliant, and support strategic business objectives.

    Job Functions/Responsibilities

    • Ensure complete and accurate postings of all financial transactions including sales, payables, inventory, cash & bank transactions, and expenses.
    • Prepare and publish monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely manner.
    • Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with LIRS, FIRS, PENCOM, and other relevant authorities.
    • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure financial integrity.
    • Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit queries.
    • Prepare comprehensive budgets and forecasts in alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to optimize resource allocation and drive cost-efficiency.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for various business units and key roles.
    • Develop financial models and conduct cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making processes.
    • Provide insightful financial reports and presentations to senior management for strategic planning and performance review.
    • Manage the company’s capital structure and develop strategies to optimize funding and investment activities.
    • Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities to support the company’s growth objectives.
    • Prepare necessary documentation and presentations for fundraising efforts, including equity, debt, and other financing options.
    • Collaborate with banks, investors, and other financial institutions to secure favorable financing terms.
    • Lead and execute corporate finance initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
    • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate finance principles.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and performance management.
    • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, such as QuickBooks or SAP.
