    Head of Pharmacy

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Pharmacy to oversee and manage our retail pharmacy branches located in Festac, Victoria Island, and Lekki. The ideal candidate will be 35 years or older, possess at least 10 years of leadership experience in a retail pharmacy environment, and have a strong understanding of retail pharmacy operations. This role requires a proven leader who can drive operational excellence, ensure exceptional customer service, and lead a dedicated team of pharmacy professionals.

    Job Functions/Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the pharmacy teams across the Festac, Victoria Island, and Lekki branches.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and high performance.
    • Ensure effective communication and coordination between branches to maintain consistent standards and practices.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail pharmacy branches, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
    • Optimize inventory management, including stock levels, ordering, and expiry management.
    • Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and patient care across all branches.
    • Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance customer experience and loyalty.
    • Recruit, train, and mentor pharmacy staff to build a skilled and motivated team.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support staff growth and development.
    • Identify training needs and organize relevant professional development opportunities.
    • Develop and manage budgets for the pharmacy branches, ensuring financial targets are met.
    • Analyze financial reports and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Implement cost-saving measures and strategies to maximize profitability.
    • Ensure all branches comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including licensing, record-keeping, and reporting.
    • Maintain high standards of quality assurance, including regular audits and inspections.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations affecting retail pharmacy operations.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Must be 35 years or older.
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) from a recognized institution.
    • Current pharmacist license in good standing.
    • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a retail pharmacy environment.
    • Strong understanding of retail pharmacy operations, including inventory management, customer service, and regulatory compliance.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Monthly Salary: ₦500,000
    • Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) coverage
    • Pension plan

    Work Schedule:

    • Full-time position, with flexibility to travel between the Festac, Victoria Island, and Lekki branches as needed.
