    Head of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development

    Overview

    • The Head of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development is a pivotal leadership position responsible for driving the company's revenue growth and market expansion across diverse sectors including telecommunications, oil & gas, hospitality, education, and public/private sectors with a goal to develop and implement effective sales strategies, explore new market opportunities, and enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales, marketing, and business development strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and aligned strategic initiatives.
    • Identify and open new market channels that align with company strengths and market demands.
    • Strengthen relationships with existing clients while seeking new business opportunities.
    • Oversee the expansion into untapped markets, ensuring the company's services meet diverse customer needs.
    • Drive the achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) across various regions.
    • Manage major change projects within the sales function to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Ensure that sales operations are cost-effective, adhering to the operational budget and expenses.
    • Foster strong relationships with trade partners to maximize the return on trade investments.
    • Provide strategic input into the development of the field sales/route-to-market strategy.
    • Actively participate in the Commercial Plan process and support the implementation of channel, category, and customer plans.
    • Lead and mentor the sales, marketing, and business development teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Identify and develop future business leaders within the team.
    • Encourage teamwork and collaboration across different functions to achieve common goals.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance data, providing regular reports to the executive team.
    • Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies and improve performance.
    • Ensure all sales activities are documented accurately and timely in CRM systems.

    Education/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
    • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
    • Experience in telecommunications, oil & gas, hospitality, education, and IT sectors is highly desirable.
    • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
    • Proficiency in market analysis and competitive analysis.
    • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to manage budgets and financial performance.
    • Knowledge of CRM systems and sales performance metrics.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Sales Growth: Achievement of sales targets and revenue growth objectives.
    • Market Penetration: Successful entry into new markets and expansion of existing market share.
    • Customer Satisfaction: High levels of customer satisfaction and retention rates.
    • Budget Management: Effective management of the Marketing operations budget and expenses.
    • Team Performance: Development and performance of the sales, marketing, and business development teams.
    • Trade Investment ROI: Return on investment on IT solutions and initiatives.
    • Project Implementation: Successful management and completion of major change projects within the sales and function.
    • Innovation: Generate ideas to recruit and retain high value clients
