    Health Information Management (HIM) Officer

    Job Summary

    • As a Health Information Management Officer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the organization's health information systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
    • You will be responsible for managing, organizing, and securing patient health records while implementing strategies to optimize information flow and accessibility within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain and manage electronic health records (EHR) and other health information systems.
    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient health information.
    • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for health information management in accordance with industry regulations.
    • Train and educate staff on proper documentation practices and compliance requirements.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to streamline information processes and improve data accuracy.
    • Conduct regular audits to assess data quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Implement strategies for data security, privacy, and disaster recovery.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field.
    • Certified Health Information Management Technician or similar certification preferred.
    • Proven experience in health information management within a healthcare setting.
    • Strong understanding of health information systems.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

    Remuneration
    Salary in line with industry standard.
