    Internal Audit and Quality Management Systems

    Job Responsibilities

    The Ideal candidate must be able to establish standard internal audit systems, controls and practices with a view to achieve the following:

    • Objectively review company business processes.
    • Establish and evaluate efficient risk management procedures.
    • Protect against fraud and theft of HSP assets.
    • Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes
    • Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes.

    Other roles:

    • Attend meetings with auditees to develop an understanding of business processes.
    • Travel to different operating locations to meet relevant staff and obtain documents and information.
    • Research and assess how well risk management processes are working and measure and record the results.  
    • Provide instructions, advice and guidance to managers and staff at all levels, sometimes by delivering courses and training sessions.
    • Perform risk assessments on key business activities and use the information obtained to design Audit Programs.
    • Anticipate emerging issues through research and interviews and decide how best to deal with them.
    • Provide support and guidance to management on how to handle new opportunities.
    • Assess how well HSP is complying to statutory rules and other regulations and inform management of any issues that need to be addressed.

    TOTAL QUALITY CONTROL FUNCTIONS

    You have the responsibility to ensure, with the back up of top management, that Total Quality Management systems are put in place throughout the organization. This involves but is not limited to the following activities:

    • Establish Management Systems and procedure that will ensure that quality is maintained throughout the organization
    • Maximize the contributions of employees to the success of the organization
    • Ensure clean and complete Record Keeping, good Disposal and Storage Systems, and neatness throughout the organization.
    • Everyone should work in a comfortable, Safe and Healthy environment.
    • Ensure Standardization throughout the organization.
    • Identify problems and weaknesses as they arise in the organization and take immediate steps to prevent damages or distraction.
    • Staff Training: Ensure provision of quality Education and Training to staff, which will impact on the quality of our products.
    • Production Control: Set of procedures that will lead to effective production processes that will ensure that we market goods that the customer wants, in the right quantity and delivered at the right place and time.
    • Process Control: establish manufacturing processes that will produce goods of the required quality in a stable and consistent manner.
    • Organize periodic and regular inspections of all systems, departments and facilities/equipment to ensure compliance, maintenance and quality.

    • The ability to use your own initiative and attention to details.
    • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity and independent.
    • The ability to think objectively and demonstrate sound judgement
    • Strong analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Organization and facilitation skills, flexible and adapt to change
