Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Inventory/Purchasing Supervisor. This role involves overseeing inventory, analyzing data, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient purchasing processes, particularly for electronic components.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
As the Inventory/Purchasing Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and processing purchase orders while maintaining procurement records.
- Monitoring current inventory levels, processing purchase orders, and tracking orders.
- Developing and managing vendor relationships, evaluating supplier reliability, and identifying alternate sources.
- Achieving operational efficiency through standardization of inventory control.
- Overseeing inventory controls, order fulfillment, electronics purchasing, and supply chain management.
- Managing the supplier and vendor selection process based on various criteria, including cost, quality, support, capacity, on-time delivery, and reliability.
- Negotiating contracts with vendors to improve terms such as payment terms, pricing, freight, and delivery.
- Collaborating with department managers to determine purchasing needs for production and office products.
- Performing all purchasing functions, including issuing purchase orders, invoice creation, pricing verification, and payment authorization.
- Maintaining an online database of all products and ensuring daily inventory updates.
- Conducting records audits of inventory, adjustments, and other metrics and preparing regular reports for management.
- Supporting import documentation requirements and logistics management.
- Staying updated on the latest inventory management tools, technology, and procedures.
- Ensuring proper authorization for stock releases and accurate documentation for item relocations.
- Proactively tracking the movement of inventory items from one location to another.
Requirements/Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business administration.
- 4+ years of experience in inventory and purchasing management.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience in analyzing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends, and solutions.
- Ability to multitask, exercise independent judgment, and pay attention to detail.
- Knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and strong numeric and analytical skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Salary: N100,000 200,000/month.
