Job Summary: 

• We are looking for a skilled and dedicated IT Officer to join our team.
• The IT Officer will be responsible for managing and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure operations, and providing technical assistance to all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including servers, workstations, printers, and networking equipment.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Network Management: Monitor and maintain network security, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data backup systems.
• User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• System Updates: Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user manuals.
• Policy Implementation: Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Project Assistance: Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades and new technology deployments.
• Training: Conduct training sessions for staff on IT-related topics and best practices.
• Industry Awareness: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology to recommend improvements and innovations.

Requirements:

• Qualification: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as an IT Officer, IT Support Technician, or similar role.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems. Proficiency in operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Networking: Familiarity with network protocols, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certifications: Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
