    IT Support Engineer

    Industry: FMCG

    Responsibilities:

    • Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
    • Installing and configuring computer systems.
    • Responding to IT support requests.
    • Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
    • Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.
    • Offering solutions that meet the needs of the company
    • Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
    • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)
    • Ensure all issues are properly logged
    • Follow up to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
    • Repairing hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems.
    • Maintaining good client relations.
    • Tracking and managing work records.
    • Prepare accurate and timely reports

    Requirements;

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
    • 1-2 years’ work experience as an IT Support Engineer or Technical Support Engineer in a similar industry
    • Knowledge of web services, API, and IP-based protocols.
    • Experience with scripting languages.
    • Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
    • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
    • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (eg. Zendesk)
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
    • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal Good time management skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
