    Patrol Officer

    LOCATION: NATIONWIDE

    JOB TYPE: FULL TIME

    JOB OVERVIEW:

    A highly reputable transport company is looking to engage the services of Patrol Officers to provide patrol services and safety services for our vehicles in transit. The successful candidates will be required to maintain a high visibility on designated routes and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The patrol officer is the first responder on all road related issues involving vehicles belonging to the organization and as such must be agile.

    Key Functions of the Role

    • Patrolling assigned areas and being on the lookout for suspicious or illegal activity.
    • Performing on-the-scene investigations.
    • Detaining drivers on misdemeanors and handing them over to the police.
    • Trailing and apprehending drivers on illegal activities.
    • Conducting a stop and search on all truck plying the designated station and signing off on their logbooks or waybills.
    • Immediately responding to reports of emergencies or possible crimes and offering the necessary assistance.
    • Serving as first responders on accidents, investigating traffic accidents and assisting drivers in need.
    • Verifying drivers claims
    • Providing security to broken down trucks until resolved
    • Completing all necessary paperwork and providing testimonies in court.

    Educational Requirements

    • Minimum of OND

    Experience

    • Must possess experience in the military (Naval, Air Force or Armed Forces)

    Required Skills

    • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
    • Familiarity with report writing
    • Excellent surveillance and observation skills
    • Trained in First Aid and self-defense
    • Must be able to drive and possess a valid driver’s license
