Pediatric Doctor at Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent De Paul Hospital

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and treating common childhood ailments and minor injuries
• Recommending patients for further treatments and to specialists when needed
• Providing preventative care, including the recommendation of vaccines
• Recording and maintaining the health and development information of their patients
• Conducting regular well-child checkups
• Prescribing and administering treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care.
• Listening to parents’ concerns and answering their questions
• Offering health advice to parents
• Effectively communicating their patients' health, nutritional, and fitness needs to their guardians
• Conducting research and remaining up to date on current trends, discoveries, and developments in the field.
• Monitoring patients' conditions and progress.
• Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests, etc.

Qualifications

• A Medical Degree and the successful completion of a residency and fellowship in pediatrics.
• A license and certification to practice pediatrics.
• At least 5 years practice as a pediatrician.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to relate to children.
• Strong decision-making, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational, leadership, and teamworking skills.
• A caring and compassionate nature when working with children and their families.
