    Program Officer (Clinical Psychologist)

    Remuneration: 237,000 (Gross)

    Job Summary

    Legend Golden Care Foundation (LGCF) seeks a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a full-time Programs Officer (Clinical Psychologist). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and providing psychological services and therapeutic support to individuals and groups, including to children, young people and families.

    Key Responsibilities( Additional duties may be assigned)

    • Provide psychological services and therapeutic support to individuals and groups, including to children, young people and families
    • Lead and oversee the design, development and evaluation of the LGCF’s mental health and psychological programs and services
    • Prepare and assist in the implementation and review of individual plans for clients
    • Maintain up to date, accurate and comprehensive records and case notes in accordance with LGCF’s  policy, and best practice standards.
    • Prepare and compile LGCF’s Rehabilitation and Psychosocial support unit work plans, weekly and monthly medico legal services reports.
    • Ensure that all work with clients is kept confidential and that ethical practices are observed at all times and all required documentation is completed in a timely and in a professional manner.
    • Create an appropriate networking system with other and or relevant partners and community stakeholders through referrals and advocacy.
    • Develop and coordinate referral pathways and systems, and encourage collaboration between relevant local partners, CBOS, INGOs & Government agencies.
    • Report directly to the Program Manager
    • Carry out general duties deemed fit by management

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of B.Sc. in Clinical Psychology.
    • At least 3 years’ NGO experience as a programs officer and clinical psychologists.
    • Ability to develop and implement treatment and recovery plans for individuals, groups and families as required.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and computer proficiency
    • Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate accountability and willingness to take direction and provide written reports.
    • Must have experience working directly with and providing support to survivors of SGBV, torture including children
