    Project Lead

    Role Description

    • This is a full-time, on-site role as a Project Lead. The Project Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day management of various projects within the organization. This will involve developing project plans, coordinating with stakeholders, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. The Project Lead will report directly to the Executive Director.

    Responsibilities

    • Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Project Execution: Lead project teams, ensuring that project activities are carried out effectively and efficiently. Monitor progress, resolve issues, and make necessary adjustments to achieve project goals.
    • Resource Management: Allocate and manage project resources, including human resources, budgets, and materials, to ensure project success.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries. Foster positive relationships and ensure alignment with project goals.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure that project outcomes meet high standards and are in compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
    • Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and project updates for the organization's leadership and funders.
    • Grant Research: Identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
    • Proposal Writing: Write compelling and persuasive grant proposals, including budgets, to secure funding for various projects.
    • Grant Submission: Manage the submission process, including deadlines and required documentation.
    • Grant Reporting: Ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements and submit timely and accurate reports to funders.
    • Funder Relations: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with grant-making organizations.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers and researchers to gather information for grant proposals.
    • Research Design: Develop research plans and methodologies to address project objectives.
    • Data Collection: Collect and analyze data through surveys, interviews, literature reviews, and other research methods.
    • Data Interpretation: Interpret research findings to inform project strategies and decision-making.
    • Report Writing: Prepare clear and concise research reports, including recommendations for action.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (such as Project Management, Social Sciences, or Non-profit Management) is required.
    • A Master's Degree is a plus.
    • Project Management: experience managing large-scale projects, creating project plans, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing budgets.
    • Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to clearly articulate project status to various stakeholders.
    • Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts, and ensure project success.
    • Problem-Solving: ability to identify and solve problems quickly and independently.
    • Organizational Skills: strong organizational and time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proven experience in grant writing and securing funding for nonprofit organizations.
    • Strong research and analytical skills.
    • Exceptional writing and editing abilities.
    • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising strategies and grant application processes.
    • Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus.
    • Strong research and analytical skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
    • Knowledge of women's and children's rights issues and related policies.
    • Experience in conducting research for nonprofit organizations is a plus.
